Hey guys,

So here's the deal. I am an insider for a big merchanting clan right now, so I am capable of bringing in 500M per month, per account I'm using. I'm also selling gp on sythe, as most of you may know.

So your account is probably just sitting there right now. You hardly have time to play. That's a huge waste (for me and you), because I could really use your account for profit, and it would have no effect on you at all.


Here's how it would work:
-You would give me the username and pass to your account, and I pay you every month a set price (Would be decided based off of how much gp the account has, we'd have to work it out over msn)

-I would get on it a few times a day and use it for some business things. I may use it to hold bought out rares that I buy for cheap on sythe, and sell for profit.

-I would buy merchanting clans items on it, build up excess gp, and sell that gp (maybe leave you with a bit more gp then you left me with, as a form of payment too :) )

-I would sell the gp using a transfer method that just involves the GE. It's nothing crazy at all that could get you banned.

-There would be absolutely no autoing on your account, and at most I would probably be on it an hour a day total.





Yes, I would be using your account for IRL profits because I'm a greedy capitalist (I state this so that Claw doesn't feel the need to post :p). But what's the difference? Your account is just going to be sitting there anyways. Why not make some money renting it? It wouldn't even affect the account at all. You could still even play if you wanted to, I wouldn't change the pass on you.

Yeah pretty much. I can get pins on sythe to use on your account if you aren't paying for P2P already though, so it really shouldn't matter too much.

Well I ain't got a huge bank atm but just wondering can ~40m do a 3-5m daily merch profit?

I don't suggest this. I have 4-5 accounts locked (between four and six months after the offense) for bad SMS and PBP pins that I bought on Sythe. You don't know how people are getting those.

Unauthorized or reversed charges pass through many hands before they finally get back to your account…Individual disputes charges–>credit card company–>credit card company customer support–>credit card company billing–>phone company–>phone company customer support–>phone company billing–>Billing company–>Jaghexs customer support–>Jaghex billing–>Jaghex account security …I heard the same stories..many months later a bad surprise :redface:

I guess it could be done by credit card instead of pins. But Town, you know who Skeletal is right? He's a market mod on sythe, pretty trustable guy. I would assume his pins are 100% fine.

And then buy phat back?

Not really worth it if I have to hold the partyhat, because then that's money I can't merch with.

Which is why you can also settle on a reasonable amount of real $ to make up for that loss.

I'm not paying any RL money at all for runescape, apart from members when I feel like autoing on a main.

You've got some explaining to do JAD. For those who don't know: JAD was given access to my account, so we could merch, with the plan being he would get 1/3 the profit off my account once we had a successful merch. So he sold my purple phat for me, to free up cash for the merch, and it was going well. Then the item crashed, and JAD hasnt replied on MSN, to my PM's to him, or to the merch thread - even though I've seen him online and he has spoken to people who have told me they've spoken to him since it crashed, and had also logged on to my RS account after it crashed, and after I asked him to fix the problem up, but did nothing.

So I had to sell easter with the rapidly crashing junk for ~270m (130m underpriced) just so I didn't lose half my bank. Didnt have enough cash to upgrade back up to a phat…ATM I'm about 200m down thanks to JAD. Hopefully this is just a misunderstanding…either way I want my purple back for trade price, as we agreed that if things went wrong JAD would sell it back for trade so I didn't lose any cash, and JAD said he had multiple phats on other accounts so this would be possible. Since it would be his fault if it went wrong, as he was in control of the merch.

I'm wondering did anyone else get fucked over by this? IIRC a couple of other people gave him their accounts? Pretty sure thats what he told me anyway. Very fucking dishonorable if this isnt rectified.

We had kind of same deal with JAD, but I only had 15M to invest in the first place I think. I told JAD to start selling like 2 or 3 days before the crashing, but he didn't respond :-\
Trying to sell them on minimum price now, but I'll probably lose some gp.

I'm really sorry for you, you lost insanely much :S JAD owes you big time.
I hope he's not in some kind of trouble that prevents him from playing and paying attention…

@The Claw: He's had my account for months. He hasn't paid me for March yet. I almost never see him on MSN anymore, and I don't even know the pass to my account as he changed it. He said it was because other people were using it to transfer? Anyway, I had over 600M cash when he started with it. The last time I checked it was down to less than 100M, and he said he would build it back up.

I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding and that it'll all get fixed up eventually. I can't see JAD as the type of person to do something like this.

We all know JAD doesn't screw our accounts on purpose, of course not, but it doesn't mean he can fix your losses anytime soon.
Partyhats are incredibly difficult to obtain and will most likely require real life cash. I also don't think JAD will get 500M just like that to you :-\

Oh I highly doubt it, and I don't expect him to. I just haven't seen him on MSN in a while. It's nice to get updates, and I'd like to know the pass to my account. :p

Yeah ordinarily he wouldnt do this but he had a transfer method, he got 200m off me, 500m off you, more of others…thats $2100 right there as he sells for $3/m, if he sold the gp. Changing pass is suspicious…he didnt change pass of mine. And he told me it would be him doing the transferring, not someone else

JAD personally promised he would recoup any losses by getting me phats back, which he said he had multiple of across multiple accounts. It's his responsibility to get that cash to us, and to do it ASAP…not "later" after merching more or whatever.
If he was going to be away for a while, why wouldnt he tell any of us? Why would he just leave us all in the dark while the merch crashed, even though he has been online since?

he has to try different passwords to see which one is correct….like is it password1 or password2, I'll need to try logging in with both in order to see which password it is.
