Hi there,
*if this isn't allowed please delete by the way*

What are we making!?
We are making the First OGL based Bot.

I want to do it for the experience AND to see if we can get anywhere with it :).
I am looking for a team of devs to build this bot with me, if that means that you leave after that then that is your personal choice but I wanna see if we can get this going :)

I was thinking:
- Tabs
- Easy use
- Easy to update
- "Nice" community

So yeah, if you are interested either:
Hit me on msn:
Destiful@hotmail.co.uk
OR
PM me.

But please post first :)

Cheers
T~M

I'm in. Anyone else? :)

Write it in C and make it use silentwolf's OGL system ;)
That'd be unique.

Where can i see the OGL system? I was very interested in the project and the thread got moved.

E: Good luck with the bot.

Eh, why not. I can probably lend a hand from time to time. I'm decently experienced with Java.

We have decided to base the bot around OGL/Interception :)

Darn! I only know some C++ :(

I would love to help, but I know no C nor Java (syntax sure, but not language), I'm just into Ruby/JavaScript at the moment.

I'd love to know how it comes along though, and I may attempt to make a flail version myself :)

Does anyone of you know C?

Eh, no. I predict this will be a horribly amusing train wreck.

Thats what I was going to say.

How can you even *think* about making your own bot (from scratch) if you dont know any languages besides pascal…

We've shifted back to Java and Reflection, since we do have experience with that.

What's wrong with Simba, SMART, and SRL? That's what I'll be using for my interception-based scripts.

You've switched back to Java in what? Ignoring the fact you read none of the thread above, how the hell do you switch back to Java to make a C based bot that uses a C (++) plugin?

uuuh what?
We started making a Java bot instead of C bot?
EDIT: Wow that sounded rude :/ Took away the rude part

No, he's right. Based on our discussions on MSN, we've switched back to a reflection based bot, coded in Java. We've dropped the idea of using interception, since none of us have any experience with C or C++, while at least some of us have experience with Java.

If you cant get reflection working at the moment, why do you expect to be able to do it when you're coding a whole bot along with it? How will it differ to Ibot/nexus/Rsbot/Simba+Working reflection and intercerption?

People need to realize they can't start new crap everytime old breaks, you will face the same problems with your own bot…

Only reason I am doing this is because I want to learn how to do it :p

senrath

2010-02-11 16:05:02

Same. I mean, it would be cool if people started using whatever we manage to turn out, but I doubt that's gonna happen. This is more of a learning experience than anything. At least, that's how I'm approaching it.

Exactly as stated above.
