In Windows, you can do it yourself with the "Open with.." dialog (right click > open with, find Simba and check "Always open filetype with this program").

This^ that and doing this is kinda pointless until you can click on a .simba file and have it open in simba and not just open simba.

You're right, but I'm just throwing it out for the people who didn't know about it yet.
Opening the file should be very
easy.

When looking around on several Linux DE's, you'll find that this is easy on those too. (Just saying)
Ok thanks guys for your answers :)

[offtopic]Why are it .simb files and not just .simba? The only limit on extensions there is, is either 3 letters or a lot more =/[/offtopic]

Is there a way to make Simba always open with admin privledges on win 7 without having to right click the exe itself? inb4 Wizzup, linux, ubuntu, etc

Why would you even want to run it with Admin privileges?

It messes up if you don't. Cant write to log files, and other stuff

Isn't it supposed to do some fancy directory virtualization if you put it in the Program Files folder? It at least did that in Vista because no one could write programs for Windows without assuming you're an admin that can write in that directory.

right click the exe, click properties, click compatability, click 'run this program as an administrator'.

Works for me. you just have to set proper permissions on your system.
Try what Widget said, rather than running it as Administrator.

Just set your include paths etc. to something NOT in program files or w/ever?

.simb doesn't really ring as the best file extension, honestly…
