I thought of this theory.. I then offered it to IceFire, and he agreed it might be true.
For the time being, I would advise you to stay away from smart..
My theory (on iTouch, I don't have source to prove it) -
Runescape got a new title.
SMART still disguises itself as old title.
Jagex detects.
Ban hammer.

Would someone please tell me if I have a point? Or am just totaly insane??

He's right, they do…Read their privacy policy…

The title should be updated to keep it safe

Benland has it disguise itself differently.

Well then Jagex (if they can) will see their old header name, big deal, that doesn't mean you're autoing! It means someone made their own client, and it failed to have the new rs name, big deal?! :p

Find a place within the client that they detect this and perhaps then it will be changed or taken more seriously.

Many things are detectable (client titles, reflection, injection, etc.), but that doesn't mean that they are explicitly checked for within the client.

Jagex can't check on window titles on your computer…
Anyways, SMART doesn't disguise itself with the title of RuneScape's web pages. It does however disguise itself as firefox.

However, if Jagex did check on window titles on your computer, and the RS client got a "disguise title" instead of the actual title of the window, I'm sure BenLand would have made a method to download the RS webpage html and get the title of the webpage and set it as a "disguise title" for SMART. It's easy to do that.

Don't worry.

Edit: Also, if you belive SMART has a disguise title the Jagex can access, changing the real title of SMART will only change the real title of the window, not the disguise title. ;) So, YoHoJo, your solution doesn't work. :p

Not only does a java applet have NO WAY of detecting the "name" of the screen its run in, nowhere in the http specification does it say you have to change the name of the window or anything… Its not, never has been, and never will be an issue.
