Hey everyone,

I'm new to SRL Members, and I noticed that there is this merching section. It doesn't seem to be doing so well, so I would like to introduce my own idea of how I can make everyone here a ton of money. I am a founding member of the clan chat "cash cream", just recently renamed to "gp place". I would say we have around 5k members, and currently, my bank is worth over 1.2 bil. (blue phat, 2 pumpkins, 750m cash). Anyways, what does this all mean to you?

Since I decide the items for my clan long before they go public, I can pass the information on to some of you so that you can stock up early and make a lot of money. (My 750m cash pile was 60m a month a go after I bought my blue.)

So here is what I propose: Since we are SRL, of course, and clans like mine are fueled by advertisers, if you're willing to run some advertisers or help write an effective advertising script, I would gladly return the favor and tell you the items we are going to merch before they go public.

If this is against the rules, I'm sorry. Please let me know what you guys think. If we all work together, I think I can help you guys make a lot of money.

Yeah, problem is, they're all running rsbot at the moment, which is troublesome. I'd like to get a good scar script going that uses SMART and everything.

Also, another thing that might be cool, someone in the clan wrote a script with rsbot that goes in the clan chat and asks trivia questions, and people can pm it the answers. People can also pm it items and it responds in the clan chat with the ge price (high/med/low). It would be cool if we made our own script that could also announce ge updates instantly in game to the clan…i'm sure that would keep it full 24/7

An auto typer should be simple task, but I don't know about the clan chat responder with the prices and such.

If anyone is familiar with rsbot and wants to help work on something like that, I can send you the source. As for the autotyper, some current problems with what is being used is that after solving randoms, it gets teleported back to a slightly different location, and overnight, it works it self away from the ge. We need something that checks where it is (not too hard), and has 24/7 reliability, along with all the other basics. I would just do it myself right now, but I'm back in school now (college) and I don't have enough free time. I don't want to sound like a leecher, so I'd gladly repay anyone who helps by telling the the items before they go public

There are GE functions in SRL as well as text functions. That would be quite simply made with Scar and SRL.

Take a look through the include. It would be a good "first members project" for you ;)

say the advertising all day until it goes into a random then would go to next player.
I could get an army together and hopefully get it all running by Tuesday.

Very interesting..so, out of your 5k members, approximately how many auto, or are aware of the other members autoing ?…Also, do you ever choose autoed goods as your merch item ?

I've made a scar script just now which finds prices of items requested in the clanchat box in rs. you have to type /$ before the item name.

Example:
/$Santa Hat would return:
Santa Hat - Min: 30.6m, Med: 32.2m, Max: 33.9m

i've also added a 2 minute wait between requesting the same item to stop spam.
I could make this more advanced, if needed e.g. an auto checker so that it checks for updates every minute or something. let me know what you think.

It's a merch clan, nobody really knows that we auto. However, autoing is a very necessary part of keeping the clan alive because it is built around making the ranked people money. The ranked people buy the item out before it goes public. The public is just there to dump on :) That's why we need a steady supply of advertisers to keep the clan full of more people to dump on.

We don't usually choose to merch autoed goods because the supply is too large and gets replenished too easily. We pick items that do not get added to the game at a very high frequency, and at the same time have a large enough supply to keep everyone happy. For example, our last item was willow branches. Once they were bought out, it would take someone to farm a willow tree and save the branches in order for more to get added to the game's supply.

This sounds amazing! Exactly the type of stuff I'm looking for! :) Please pm me with more details, I spent all day today working on a script that detects updates, notifies the clan, and emails/texts people. It would be great to have a second bot to do trivia, look up items, and answer questions.

Yes, today's update really f***ed things over. I've been pillaging through my script to figure out what broke, but i have no freekin clue. It's everywhere, at any point in my script this bug can happen. And that's the weird part in itself, it doesn't happen all the time.
And, yea, I can't log in either.

k ive made a script which is a clan bot, it shows current price of item posts when an update happens, also lets the clan mods ask prices of any item in runescape and also responds to pm's. what other features would be good?

It's been epic fail. I suggest the black market moves to SRL Junior Members because everyone in SRL members wants to SELL, not to buy but if it moves down to Junior Members hopefully more people will buy the things that we want to sell.
