The United States apparently possesses an "earthquake weapon" that set off the catastrophic quake in Haiti and killed 200,000 innocents. Don't believe it's true? Just ask Hugo Chavez.

Citing an alleged report from Russia's Northern Fleet, the Venezuelan strongman's state mouthpiece ViVe TV shot out a press release saying the 7.0 magnitude Haiti quake was caused by a U.S. test of an experimental shockwave system that can also create "weather anomalies to cause floods, droughts and hurricanes."

The amount of energy that would be needed to shift a tectonic plate enough to cause a sizable earthquake is immense. Not even a couple of our nukes could do it, if I'm remembering correctly.

I think it's possible for the future, but I don't believe that's what happened now. Haiti was hit twice, I REALLY doubt USA is behind this. Also, like Brain said, it's a Fox News article which == 90% complete bullshit. (Yes, I made up that percentage myself :p)

Since Earthquakes are caused by friction in tectonic plates, I think not… I doubt the fact that some secretive american organisation is able to change the plate tectonics.

And let's be brutally honest. Who in their right minds would try an earthquake-maker out on Haiti's capital? Imagine the amount of money governments worldwide have poured into the reconstruction down there! "Come guys, let's NOT make a small earthquake in the desert or in the sea! Let's do it with high power on HAITI so we can also use some of our excess money to repair it again.".Oh yeah, excess money. Everybody hates that!

This does sound fishy xD, but some things you never know. Call me crazy, but something aint right on what happened. It may not have been directly hit for Haiti, but something just doesn't seem right on what happened + What were doing right now.

Honestly I think America takes the blame for every little thing that happens. This 'weapon' that everyone is nuts over is this:

A while back Korea, China, Britain, Russia and America all signed a pact that they would not use this tool out side of their own country. Yes, it seems all of the 'big' places has this, but what are our sources? Media? Easily controlled by the gov. to hide things.

I heard that this 'weapon'/tool is able to shoot a plane out of the sky and no one would ever know it was there. I personally think this is a great tool/'weapon' if so. Next world war -we are not too far off-, we have something to defend ourselves.

That was tested on MythBusters with no real result. (Of course, I know that by no means completely discredits Tesla's experiment, but I thought I'd mention it)

If I had 100 bucks for every way I can refute this claim, I'd probably buy a car.

Just look at the epicenter - 13 km beneath a heavily populated area. No discussion about how to place a bomb or other quaking apparatus without anybody noticing.
