A cunning attempt (that failed)

EDIT : Yes, I wrote that.

Wait, so was that you who wrote that?

Wow, they didn't care that two people use the account.

We still got some valuable information on randoms. But I do feel kind of bad. :(
I can't put my finger on it though, just seems so… wrong to fake down syndrome. And the mod actually believed it. For me, this lie kind of lie is a little over the top.

I was wondering the same thing. It's a believable story. Unlikely, but believable.

He wasn't really faking it, just made some random guy up, but I know what you mean.

Yeah, I was fully expecting them to say "sorry, you can't have 2 people playing the same account *banned*".

Yeah, but how bad would the Mod feel if he did that, then found out the story was true.

Some guy was actually going "it's against the rules, BAN BAN BAN!" but that JMod shut his mouth a few posts later. :)

Actually pretending to be the guy is a little over the line.

Considering all of the stupid things that have happened in the past on the forums that was then covered up? I figured that having no heart was a requirement to be a JMod.

So many lines have been crossed here…

``which usually doesn't does to well.''

I'm pretty sure the mod did not believe one bit of this story, it's just too unlikely to be real. But it is their best interests as a business to treat these things seriously in the slight possibility it's true. He's simply doing his job.

That's an awful lot of feedback for someone who didn't believe me… almost like he felt protective or something.

Of course, the whole story might be unlikely… But I couldn't think of something more believable that would fit my purpose : asking to remove random events without being just another "lol no" from the jagex mods.

I have to say, though, my opinion of JMods has increased a lot from this. Most PMods still piss me off, though.

Never lie about diseases or accidents. If you lie and say someone has a horrible disease, then Karma dictates that you or someone you love will get a horrible disease as payback. Never say you missed school or work because your grandmother died. Next thing you know she'll be dying peacefully in her sleep, not screaming and yelling like the passengers in her car. Just thought I ought to warn you. Karma payback is a bitch.

Karma technically has no proof behind it.. just saying.. ;)

And it's not that he faked an illness or made it up.. There could very well be two people who do this. Maybe by different names and different diseases, but whatever. Nobody would react like this if someone said "I'm going to kill myself unless you don't give me randoms." And that makes no sense. If you're in America, that's unconstitutional. But being diseased just happens. So saying this is "way too far" is a bit much, when people really have killed themselves over this game (and people, I'm sure, have pretended to get in less trouble or something, which is much further than saying someone helped another who wasn't capable of playing.. It's a heart-warming story if you don't know it's a lie.)

The world I live in has no justice. It has no karma, and luck doesn't exists. It is void of anything the eyes can't see, except for concepts.

In the world I live in, drug dealers get more jail time than sexual offenders and B$ frauds; meanwhile, the sweetest people get beaten up or die in car crashes.

The world I live in is a jungle. Everybody's only trying to secure more space to gesticulate, no matter if they have to steal or lie.

Don't you "karma" me for lying over internet on something that has absolutely no consequences. Of course it was over the top - that's the point.

You realize that you're calling me bad for lying over a forum of cheats right?

Anyway, I'm checking off this thread I guess, since it's making at least a few uneasy.

The world's a kleptocracy, so why speak of justice?
