SRL Archive - General

Hey everyone, so I was having trouble with a script so I decided to delete scar and re install everything and I noticed that there was a prerelease out so I tried installing that. I did so by right clicking on my desktop, clicking checkout, inserting http://freddy1990.com/svn/scarprerelease in the first url spot, then clicked ok. But i got the following errors:
Error: In directory 'C:\Users\Andy\Desktop\scarprerelease'
Error: Can't open file
Error: 'C:\Users\Andy\Desktop\scarprerelease\.svn\tmp\text-base\scar.exe.svn-base':
Error: Access is denied.


So I have no idea what to do with the first three, but for the access denied one I looked at the permissions on the folder, and for all 3 users everything is allowed with full control in advanced tab also. So I'm kinda lost right now and any help would be helpful, Thanks!

Are you using Vista? If so, turn UAC off. Gewgol eet. ^^

If you got vista/7… Right Click the folder, Properties, then change the folder permissions

So I did the UAC change to the lowest possible( I do have windows 7), and the folder has full permision, but i still get the errors :(

Did you right click the folder or the desktop when you did it? I always find it works if I just do the desktop, and then I move it. :) Maybe opening up task manager, ending the svn, then finding it, and running it as administrator. And if you can't find it, just restart and it'll run again. :p

This usually solves a different error, but try disabling whatever anti-virus software you have.

Again, thanks for the replies! So I did you end SVN in task manager, and run as admin and i still got this error:
Error: In directory 'C:\Users\Andy\Desktop\scarprerelease'
Error: Can't move 'C:\Users\Andy\Desktop\scarprerelease\tempfile.tmp' to
Error: 'C:\Users\Andy\Desktop\scarprerelease\scar.exe': Access is denied.
I mean the folder has full permission, SVN is ran as an administrator, so I'm really mind boggled right now. And Cohen, I already had my antivirus off haha
I have no clue what to do anymore…


EDIT: So I realized that I only ran tortoise as admin not SVN itself as admin, so it FINALLY WORKED! Thanks i luffs yew and everyone else! Appreciate the help ALOT!
