How the fuck didn't he die when he got shot?
Why the fuck couldn't that idiot decode brale?
How did he die later on?
How did he memorize the entire bible?
Why did it take him 30 years to get to san fran?

1. No.
2. I'm not sure either.
3. Play less video games, bullet doesn't = death
4. Because he wasn't blind
5. Of old age.
6. Very carefully
7. Because he wasn't blind, but was trying to be, sorta. SO it took him forever.

1. You sure, when he was reciting the book his eyes were all messed up.
2. I think it was an infection or clan or some shit? it was unclear
3. He was shot in the stomach… no medicine or anything should of died.
4. I was talking about the guy that got the book and was pissed because he couldn't read brale.
5. I doubt it, the other guy that was older was still alive with the white hair.
6. I suppose… nothing else to do.
7. Even still, 30 years wtf?

1. Yes, he was either blind or partially blind.
2. Probably to make sure people weren't going crazy and trying to eat them like the old couple he and Solara ran into.
3. He did, just not right away.
4. Since he wasn't blind, there is no reason for him to know Braille.
5. From the gunshot wound, presumably.
6. He spent thirty years on the road, and he said he read every day, so…
7. He was blind.

1. Yea that's what I thought.
2. Mmm, I don't think so… maybe.
3. maybes
4. But still, decoding braille would be easy as shit… especially if he was going to read the entire bible anyways.
5. not old age I think for sure.
6. yea.
7. still 30 years? it took people in 1700s/1800s w/e much less time. and 30 years is still excessive for walking in post apocalypse.

2. What other explanation can you think of?

4. How would he be able to decode it with zero prior knowledge and nothing to refer to (he doesn't have it memorized)??

7. He's blind…that should explain everything. I doubt anyone blind chronicled their adventures across the United States from the eighteenth or nineteenth centuries, so that point is irrelevant.

4. So what? It's a pretty easy system… I mean it IS english just the letters are made into an arrangement of bumps… only 26? combinations for each letter I don't know Braille and I could figure out "In the beginning, God created" ….

7. meh I say it would of taken 2-10 max

Takes a week or so to die of a stomach wound, it's pretty damn painful (before that and you usually die of blood loss).

He could possibly survive without surgery as long as it didn't puncture something, and the bullet was removed (It's theoretically possible to survive a punctured organ without surgery, but, you know… I wouldn't bet on it). He'd need a lot of vodka to keep that fucker clean, though.

That would make sense, but the main things I don't understand are why didn't the city leader decode the Braille bible he stole and what the finger check was about

Q.2:

A: Finger Check: At the house Eli tells the girl that eating too much human meat gives you the shakes thus checking the hands for the shake was a search for cannibalism.

Hey, that answer sounds awfully familiar…..

The guy didn't decode the Braille bible because he (presumably) didn't know any of it and also had some sort of disease at the end. He probably died soon after.

Being blind didn't stop him from taking out 20+ guys without getting hit even once. :p

It's all about religion… He didn't ever get hurt because, he had the protection of god up until he gave away the bible. It's a movie, your not supposed to understand all of it. IceFire is right about the hands shaking, they even hint to it earlier in the movie too. He was blind the whole movie hence the heightened sense of smell and hearing, that's how he could smell the hijackers and he used is extremely good hearing to get a sense of where everything/everyone is. The reason that idiot couldn't decode brale because one, if your not blind, there really is no reason to learn brale in the first place. And 2, even if he had learned how to read it before the "flash" then after 30 years of not reading it, he would probably forget how to. You try walking to San Fransisco from the other side of the country, in extreme heat, with hardly any water, hunting for food, and fighting pretty much everyone you see because they are trying to kill you. And if that doesn't satisfy you, he said in the movie he hid underground and I believe it was a couple of years before he came back up, the he had to walk East to find the book, then start walking back.

i loved this movie! amazing! yah i have no clue about those questions, but i believe he was blind. i thought it was cheesy that the girl suddenly became BA at the end and went on acting like the main char.

Warrior, they throw those in lots of movies where the main character will die and some one will replace them, mostly unexpected but purposely to give you the chills and think that is sweet. But the fact that she had little training and he died too soon to train her properly to kill, she will most likely die within a week of her adventure. So don't expect a second film. :spongebob:
