Hi there to protect my identity I've logged in with a proxy and would like to ask
How are you gentlemen?
I am a former Jagex Staff member, I was part of the macro detection system partly responsible for the death of "Auto Rune" anyways… what a fine community you all have here :)
Would you be interested in any Jagex secrets? "Lulz"?
Perhaps I can post some funny quotes from behind the scenes?

well I'll start with a specific one: Do you guys actually read any of the appeals sent in?
Now with that question we will all surely know if you are legit or not, since only a real jagex (former?) employee would know the answer, and of course, I can tell when people lie on the internet.

To accurately answer your question, Mr. Brain, I was not a part of that particular team… my job was to help with macro detection strategies, some arbitrary busy work around the office, and review player reports. I do know that ban and lock appeals get sent first through a sorting program that picks out the auto-deny/auto-accepts ones, they only account for about less than a quarter of the total though… those ones are given a certain auto-reply depending on the type and severity of the rule breaking, as well as the players prior offense history. The rest are reviewed by
actual people, but the replies do not differ much at all from any other reply, they basically review the appeal and decide what action to take and what "auto-reply" message is appropriate. How else would we (former) manage the thousands of inquiries daily?
I have a much higher paying job now… I was laid off from Jagex about 3 months ago because I was lurking around site like this at work :)

Yes, it is a meme.
The term Internet meme is a phrase used to describe a catchphrase or concept that spreads quickly from person to person via the Internet, much like an esoteric inside joke.[1]

There's a number of ways, the main way is the reconstruction method used via the report system. It logs all the variables you and the player that reported used in the past 60 seconds or so… once the inquiry arrives a person from my former team would 'reconstruct' the information and decide whether or not it is a legitimate player, they usually come up inconclusive. Another main way is watching for out of the ordinary client usage, this was how Auto Rune was killed because of the "-1 UID". The most conclusive evidence in my opinion is the chat logs, playing statistics (such as playing/breaking time… unsolved Events like randoms), and IP logs, it's quite funny to watch a reconstructed mouse array go crazy all over the test screen.
The '60 second record' method works by saving everything you do in arrays to a database that is constantly deleting data from 61 seconds ago and replacing it with data from 1 second ago thus creating the 60 prior seconds that can be accessed on a whim via the report button.

Actually it was meant as a joke, but seeing how there is no way I can prove who I am (nor do I want to) I figured maybe this community could benefit from my information whether or not they chose to believe it is entirely up to the viewer, I'll just say what I can :)

So if we make our bots have better breakng times and they sucessfully solve all randoms plus that they don't go on for 24/7. We will have sucsessfully created a bot which is undetectable.

Oh no, most of the claims that you have read to be 'by Jagex' are by the Public Relations/Webiste people who either deliberately lie or have no idea what they are talking about. They also claimed there were no cheats for runescape ;) Even though at one point there was investigations going on numerous websites and communities in the past.
The Lurker that got his status to 'yellow' on this website didn't reveal his account name, and if he did I probably wouldn't tell you. Well, I don't think Auto Rune was similar to Aryan. Aryan was the first public java bot, while Auto Rune did not use java. (To my knowledge)
There is also several years in between. Auto Rune died long before Aryan was created.

Hello dear sir mr. jagex staff member, I'd like to know how how random the random events are? Are they more like tossing a coin or rolling a dice? I doubt they're as random as lottery because that's too random to be coded to RuneScape unless you have some über lottery machine computer there too, I don't know.
Secondly I'd like to tell you your bot detection got me banned even though I didn't use any bot!! It was just a color clicker that clicked monster colors, but it wasn't a real runescape bot!!

Lol big deal if a Jagex member got SRL Members status, I'd be more suprised if there wasn't one.
Autorune was a packet editing bot, which was killed when Jagex started encrypting and messing around with the packets sent to and from the client and server.
Aryan mass-bans were because the aryan devs forcefully changed everyones UID to -1 and tipped Jagex off about it, because it was getting very out of hand. Aryan was killed after a runescape engine update, and it took a while for a new java bot to be made.
This is pretty common knowledge…makes me think you're trolling. You still havent given us anything we couldnt deduce from reading around rs cheating sites and the runescape kb a bit.

Dude.. What the..? Of course there is no "code" or secret way to become a jmod.. Only way to become a jmod is to begin working at their place @ cambridge.
It's been proved many times that SCAR can be undetectable/user not banned from using SCAR
i agree with that 'what the'. this person is an IDIOT. im sorry if i sound like an ass(well i guess there is no IF, i do sound like an ass) but use some common sense in your posts, why the hell would jgex make a code to become jmod. also, scar is OBVIOSLY undetectable to some extent since tons of people are using it.
