I have always been interested in programming, the first bot I ever made was made without srl, in VB where I manually override the mouse. I actualy found srl a few years ago but did not want to get into pascal so I went away. Now, I'm back.

Please show us one (or multiple) of your scripts.
I currently have no working scripts to show off, but I am working scripts to show off but I am working on a path finding script which is as effective as reflection without using reflection. I am looking at the minimap and finding my position from there. I have recently made a map of lumbridge where each pixel represents a tile. If a pixel is black, it may bot be walked on, if it is white it can. I can extend this to the entire runescape world and use dijkstra's algorithm to find the quickest way to get to any point in runescape.
I could make a procedure:
walkOnSurface( x ,y :integer)
which could walk to anywhere in runescape without any premade paths.
The reason I am asking for membership is to see what other people have made in term of pathfinders.

Edit: I would use the A* algorithm rather than the raw dijksta's algorithm. (It's much faster)

I'm sorry, but you NEED a script to apply for members. No script = no pole. Feel free to check the Tutorial section here, also how to make sure you're ready for members here. Good luck and your idea sounds very nice! Hope we get to see it :)

To become a SRL Member you have to post a working script for runescape

Has anyone done anything like this before? The only reason I wanted membership was so I could find out.

There are people who apply without making a script, they all have been / will be declined.

No worries though ;)
Come back when you have learned and made a good script and try again :)

what I meant is has anyone made a runtime pathfinding algorithm for SRL before?

Yes (i think), and they are all in the free sections. Instead of applying, you could've asked in, say, the Scripting Help section if anything existed and if it were SRL Members, we would say "Yes", but not provide you with the source.

As-well, you could've searched for it using the forum search feature.

Due to forum rules, you will not be allowed to re-apply within a month of the closure of this application. So, you'll have to wait until then, unless an approved administrator/moderator allows you to re-apply earlier :)

Good luck scripting ;)

Considering you know other programming languages and are developing something much harder than a "normal" script you are allowed to re-apply at any time you see fit.

However, I also suggest that not only do you develop such walking algorithm but also make a small quick script just to show you have knowledge of basic SRL scripting, such as multiplayer, object finding and DTMs & BMPs.

Hope to see you again soon and good luck :)

I believe that if you search for a thread with the keyword 'walk' by Macrosoft you will find something that servers the same purpose you have done. If I am not mistaken, mixster and Naum have also developed such things.

Right now, I am busy mapping the world of runesape using a script I built for RSBot (I don't know anything about image processing in scar) but when I reapply I will be making an autofisher.

Yes, i have made something similar, only mine used the worldmap, and made a line from the current location to the destination and then used that angle to walk to it (im not sure how similar yours is)
Its really outdated though, I should fix it up…

Unfortunately its a no from me. You need some kind of script to show us before you are accepted. Dont give up though, I like your attitude :)
