Today I was working on a script, i was clumsy and fail enough to leave my Username and password and Pin number in the declareplayers procedure. (First time making 1). I was talking to one of the SRL members, and i sent him my script to help me. Unfortunatly I Pastebinned the script -.- And in less then 1 minute, my password was changed. I recovered the account back. This is just a reminder lol. Heres a screenshot anyway of the IP of who logged in from b4.
Even though Naum is in this Screenshot, he was not the one I sent the Pastebin, nor did he know that i was getting help.
When you send Scripts on Pastebin, just be aware that it is open to the public to view them, thats how mines got taken. I Fail.
Stupid Comcast users -.- / no offence

You didn't lose anything did you? There's not much point in trying to steal accounts these days unless you're planning to drop all their items or something.

Unless it's their main.
HeavenGuard, would it be any use to disclose the name of the account thief?
I think we all make such mistakes. I worked with a fellow junior member on different scripts, and in the space of a week we both left our usernames and passwords into a script we showed to the other.
Oh well, stay attentive when sharing scripts !
Glad you got your character back HG :) What scripts are you currently working on?

If he does disclose the name, it should not be in a public forum. That's just asking for drama.

Could of been ANYONE who looks at pastebin, unless you used a private page.
Anyway, people should be a bit smarter if they are going to steal accounts they could at least go to the effort of using a proxy or something.

The entire forum doesn't need to know for a ban to take place.

Lol just to clear this up:
I only put this thread to show how easily a clumsy person can get there Account stolen in less then 1 minute, litterally.
–
I used a Public Pastebin for sharing my script, only yesterday I found out that you can make a Private Pastebin =P. Anyways, Public Pastebin's can be viewed by anyone, its just a reminder.
__
I do not Know who took my account, it was someone bored over pastebin xD, i 100% doubt it was the person I shared it with, 100%, he would never do something like that, i know him too well.
–
I didnt lose anything thankfully, I sent in a Stolen Pass notice to Jagex, I think they Locked the Account, and in about 30 minutes accepted my appeal =P
–
Im working on a Varrock East Mine+Banker, its done pretty much, just fixing major bugs, but Its only made to Practice TPA's, when im 100% complete with it ill post it up in the First Script section =P. Its not something that would show what SRL Members are made of Tbh.

^^^ Did you use a private pastebin? If not, chances are someone on pastebin clicked on your link saw your user/pass and went on your account

I would like to know if someone stole something.
It's a matter of knowing who to take distance from..
Person X stole person Y stuff, gets banned.
Next morning person X asks me to borrow my account, sure why not?
See where I'm going…?

Well sure, if person X ends up banned for stealing, then everyone should know. But until something is proven, naming names just creates unnecessary drama, especially if the person named is innocent.

You made scripts and they hacked you, that ain't fair and he should be living in the US using ComCast
