Uptext OCR

Freddy1990

I've created a completely brand new Uptext OCR from scratch, it's about 99.99% accurate, so it'll work perfectly pretty much all the time. This includes the most brightest background surfaces I could find… Like walls inside Falador structures. Happy macroing. :)

You can find the new Uptext OCR in the latest pre-release copy of SCAR: http://freddy1990.com/svn/scarprerelease/

I seem to have had good timing.

Nice work!

There are two parameters for rs_GetUpTextAt() instead of three. I assume length was dropped?

What is this new uptextchars folder for?

For this OCR, it's completely the same as the UpChars folder, aside from the t character, that's the only catch about the OCR, the t character causes a unique problem as it overlaps the b aside from 1 pixel, that pixel could be interpreted as being there on a background of a similar color as the text, hence i removed that pixel, making the font technically not exact, so i kept in the old folder which is exact and added this for the new uptext ocr.

Oh k.

But umm… I'm getting an error in sandwich.scar for this line

Line 270: [Error] (15540:1): Invalid number of parameters in script C:\Documents and Settings\James\My Documents\SCAR 3.23 Beta\includes\SRL\SRL\Core\AntiRandoms\Sandwich.scar

s := Trim(LowerCase(Between('Have a', 'for free', s)));

Doesn't make any sense.

Edit:

Line 269 needed a ; at the end… thats odd. Guess everyone needs to update their SRL.

s := rs_GetUpTextAt(x, y - 2, 38)

->

s := rs_GetUpTextAt(x, y - 2, 38);

Edit: now it says the error is on line 269?? Wtff

Remove the length, assuming that it now reads the entire uptext automatically.

I was just about to test my script when i get this sandwich lady error, Line 270 invalid number of parameters in Sandwich.Scar. No randoms are called upon my script.

that fixes it (untested) (compiling wise that is) but code hints still shows three variables?

Yeah, sorry, that be my bad, rs_GetUpTextAt doesn't have the TextLength parameter anymore, since it doesn't rely on text lengths anymore at all, the previous algorithm didn't really need it either, but this one doesn't at all, so… Yeah, that should be changed, I'd do it, but I haven't committed anything to the srl dev repos in a while and I'd probably piss people off if i'd forget to change something or what not :)

Oh, right, I've gotten so used to SCAR Luna's perfect system that I forgot how crappy Divi's is =P I'll update the code hints when I get back from dance practice. It shouldn't affect any functional part of the program though.

Norton and some other antiviruses think scar is bad, but obviously its not.
Disable it while you install, or mark it as safe, or something of that sort.
