SSRL Mission Statement

Welcome to the Ranks of Seniority.

As a Senior member many more resposibilities now fall upon you, and it is expected of you to meet each and every one of them.

You are the link between Staff, Devs and the lower ranks. Where the staff and developers do not have the time to go you have to think as one of them, deal with the situation as well as you can and if necessary or convenient link the staff and devs to certain posts or threads, if these require some sort of attention or if it would be beneficial to have someone higher up looking at it.

It is also expected that you keep an eye out on the attitude and aptitude of all members; Are they deserving of a cup? Are they deserving of SSRL? Are they deserving of Auto-Membership?

Also, as a Senior member, you are expected to not break the rules. You are supposed to be a leading example. Here in the SSRL boards you are free to do as you wish, however, in public boards you are representing SRL and should therefore uphold a good image. No cussing, insulting, raging, flame wars.

Finally, as someone who is on a constant watch of the lower ranks you should also show helpfulness to these.

Obvious or not, you are also expected to not leak anything.

Last but not least, remember that here you are between friends and intelligent people, and are free to speak and raise any subject you so wish.

The SRL Staff.

If we need a "mission statement", I think the group is rather extraneous.

Go research any propper group management. Go research any kind of management. A mission statement is one of the most essential things to have, whatever the group.

Senior SRL Members Section

* This is invite only. Even hint that you would like to be a SSRL member and it will never happen.
* Simply put, it is a section between devs and SRL members. Nothing more really. Its not as exciting as it sounds.
* Yes they get their own boards and beta test a few things unavailable to the masses. But then beta testing is everywhere! Dev's get to beta test the new SRL, members get to beta test other members scripts, private scripts etc. etc. This is not a new concept.

Everyone else is still completely in the dark about all this 'Mission' stuff.

These are pretty much the voting guidelines combined with the "Welcome" thread. If someone isn't following them then they have either gone inactive, dropped a maturity level, or shouldn't have been promoted in the first place.

You would think that would apply 10x more strictly to the staff. We don't have a title, so we really don't represent the staff in any way. Not to say it's unimportant for us to abide by the rules too, but the people with the titles representing the forums, are the ones representing the forums should be most important.

Just my opinion anyways, as I've stated in the rant against the staff forums..

I may be unobservant but I haven't noticed any problems with the staff angering other members or misrepresenting the forums. I'd say we all of equal responsibility in representing the forums, regardless. Everyone plays their own part.

Welcome Back Robot, I';m sorry to single you out, but I will be blunt…I would dare to say that you are one of the most intelligent people on these forums, when I read your post in the homework section, regrading fuel cells..I was blown away, I had no idea you had so much knowledge about these things, and the way you worded it was inspiring….but then we go to all your other Jack-Ass posts, and it's like, WTF, Are you kidding, is this even the same guy ???…you have some much potential to make make positive impacts with your time, but as of lately, your mouth overruns your brain, and it just comes out offensive crap…I'm seriously not trying to rag on you, but I see so much positive potential and you just misdirect your energy :(…

If I truly wanted to be useful I would certainly start, but so far there's a decided lack of interest.

So this certainly is the most productive thread I've dropped in on in a while. Are shrooms and smoking pot part of the mission statement too?

Happy to see that SSRL is still a speak your mind forum lol. :spongebob:

Also glad to see that people are trying to pull SSRL into one group with a good ol' mission statement!
