Looking for Ideas for Runescape Members Training

what the title says:

Over the years I have autoed on f2p, and I have autoed every skill there is to auto. So I decided to broathen my view and go for p2p. I have already done some scripts for Hunting and Thieving, but Memberland is huge and the possibilites are enormeous.

The Terms are easy:

  • Any skill. Preferably from level-1 upwards.
  • No Quests involved. I seriously hate quests…well maybe starting up or with a walk-through if it is easy and short.
  • Either àt a lonely spot, or at a crowded spot.
  • Profitable. Preferably stuff thats bankable, so with a Bank nearby, or stackable in Inventory.
  • Small Loops. Small concentrated loops….but thats almost everything in Runescape.

So, if you have a RuneScape Member account, you have probably come across a point in the Map where you thought: "Wow, this would be a great place to auto!". Let me know! I will try and script it!

try making not the first, but one of the first few farming scripts, that would be awesome. Only thing is walking to a well to refill your watering pail and people can be at a variety of different patches, it would have to be specific to the patch you make it for.

Or an agility script, agility scripts shouldn't be too hard, it's just a lot of searching for obstacles, and maybe some walking, but once you got the course down once, you just loop it and your good :)

The farming one I think would be a bit hard, and there's a lot of waiting, I'd probably go with the agility one. The only thing is agility isn't profitable while training it, it's only helps you make way faster profit when doing other things like killing blue drags in taverly dungeon.

Green drags. Hell of a challenge but soo profitable.

green drags arent f2p. :p

and where did you get your hunter script WT?

but i would say a flax picker/ flax spinner. or fletcher :D

I'm pretty sure green drags is F2P although I can be wrong, I thought it was right around clan wars in the wild for members and F2P. I don't know, I been a member for a long time, but now that I think about it you are probably right, I think dragon bones is members only, so it would make sense that green dragons is members.

Sorry if I was wrong.

Construction, Fletching, Herblore

Construction is not Profitable
Fletching you lose jack shit, but if you gather you own raw materials you gain
Herblore you lose alot, but if you gather you own raw materials you gain

It's eaither Agility, which is rather useless, fletching, which is not profitable, or herblore which can be profitable..

In other words, go with herblore.

erm.. sorry. I haven't been very clear in my first post:

What I am looking for is a description, a method.

For instance concerning Farming:

  • The only easy spot with a beginners patch is Catherby, since the bank is one click away. But what would be the easiest way to do that? Would it be simpler to buy 50 buckets, fill them manually with water, buy compost, let the Player withdraw water and compost, do some farming, log out and wait the time needed, log back in, harvest and bank, ad infinitum…?
And guys: fletching, flax picking… thats been done many times before and raises suspicion…and is not very creative.

I am not looking for "quick" profit, but for fun challenge. Because anything you repeat over and over in Runescape is rewarded in short or long term.

For instance:
  • - Can you easily auto summoning?
  • - Construction?
  • - Slayer?
  • - Whats the best spot to mine/melt/bank in p2p?
  • - A good spot to Fish, Cook and Fight?
I dont want literal answers, but just creative ideas, preferably methods. There is sooo much that hasn't been done before.

Why do I ask? Well because I dont play Runescape at all. I wouldnt know where and how. I am having problems finding Ardougne :) let alone I faintly know what summoning is about, lol. But always when I walk through Runescape there are plenty spots take make me go:"hmmm, now this would be a good spot to auto!"

Great cash and xp, simple enough routine.

Edit: If you did farming, you could make it in such a way that the user could run other scripts during the waiting - eg do a farming round, then in the ~40 minute wait mine iron, or fletch, or whatever and then go back and farm. Cause the waiting is the worst part about farming. And there are many ways of farming, which are better at different levels - for example I might have 50 construction so I would have teleports in my house to places, whereas someone else would have to walk/use runes. It would be quite a complex script, lots of things to keep track of but would be pretty handy. Herbs, vegetables and trees are good for xp. And you have all those seeds to use up :p

Baked0420

2009-12-22 09:04:54

that's why I mentioned farming, it would be a challenge, but I don't really have a method for you, sorry. It could be done in different ways, depending on how you want to make it. Do you want like pseudocode kinda? like I would have the script start in the bank, check for all the supplies (rake, spade, dibber, watering pale, seeds and I think that's it, correct me if I'm wrong). Then have it go to the spot rake it out, plant seeds, water, then maybe during wait times have it fish lobbs or tuna/swords if the player can, I don't know, but I don't know exactly where in catherby you can refill a watering pale, or if it's even closeby. But after the wait times, for it growing, check if it's diseased, if so use plant cure, if not water it and keep doing that until you harvest and bank then repeat.

Not really sure if you wanted me to explain it like that when you said you wanted creative ideas, prefereably methods, but that's what I would do if I wanted a good challenge.

Teletab Maker

I've said this many times, and for a good reason. I tried to make a script, got the very basic outline done for it, and lost members, so i couldn't finish it.

Requirements

  • 45 - 67 construction (the higher the better, 67 is a great profit)
  • The magic level required for the deportation spell, 30 for the most profitable
  • Some cash

What are they

For whatever reason, teletab making isn't that well known. It is extremely profitable, and because you are alone in your house, in a lonely spot. Teletabs are a mixture between soft clay, and runes, the runes for some spells. Teleportation spells are the most profitable, as the nickname 'teletab'.

Anyone who is a member, despite their level can use teletabs, they are twice as expensive (usually) as the materials used to make them, hence why you need cash to start with. Elemental staffs can be used to make teletabs.

How to make

  • Hire a butler
  • Build a lectern, the lower the level, the less amount of teletabs you can make - must be eagle for profit
  • Buy as much soft clay and runes as you can afford, or your willing to buy
  • Note your soft clay and put them in your inventory
  • Go to your house
  • Click on the noted soft clay and give them to the butler, he will go to the back and de-note up to 20 at a time, he will then follow you until you have room in your inventory
  • Click on the lectern and make your tabs - they stack, so there is no need to leave your house
  • Retreive your un-noted soft clay from the butler
  • Click on the noted soft clay and give them to the butler, he will go to the back and de-note up to 20 at a time
  • Continue this loop

Conclusion

House teletabs are the best to make profit wise, however Varrock and Camelot are good too if you don't have the high enough construction level. House can make up to 600k/h last time I checked, and you get magic experience too. The magic experience is low however, only about 20k/h.

Just a tip if you do end up choosing my idea, when you actualy make the teletabs, it's faster to click on the tab, then click on the lectern again, then click the tab etc. instead of right clicking the tab and choosing the 'make-x' option.

you need to see if the butler wants to be payed though, and not everyone has the same house, that's why most people don't do it, because most people think it would be hard to make it universal and they would only be able to make it specific to one house. This would be an awesome idea though, I remember Rogeruk starting to make this once, he even posted a proggy in the thread requesting it I think, but I don't know if he ever released it, I don't think he did.

You would have to have it set up with something like everyone has to have their lectern on one side of the portal, and a dining room with a bell to call the butler on the other side. And yea, he didn't ever release it, he used my account to make it, he got me about 1m in profit testing/making it :p

When I was a member, a good place to train was the Fremennik Trails area. I trained on the guards in the market. I know quite a few but I can't remember where exactly, I can't get there because of no members :/

This is completely from memory as I haven't had a members account in about a year and a half. I once either pursued writing a script for this or had the concept for it laid out. I don't remember.

There are chaos druids in the dungeon just east of Varrock. The dungeon itself is available to all players though the area with the chaos druids is members only, separated by a gate. These drop water filled vials and unidentified herbs. The herbs are worth a lot of money, as they would be if they were in vials already, for instance if you wanted to save inventory space. However, the area is in a zone between 1 and 5 level wilderness. It is possible to get out of the wilderness without going through the gate, just by going to the farthest south of the area. The chaos druids are level 14 or so and will not kill anyone's character. Walking through dungeons is much easier than walking through open areas since you have walls to guide you. As well, it's very close to the eastern Varrock bank once you're out of the cave.

Hopefully none of that information has changed.

I haven't played RS in a long time, but what about a law crafter? It would be a bit of a hike, but it used to be good cash and xp (again, I have no idea if it still is).

Or a gem miner/banker for shilo village.

Agility trainer.
Monk fisher.
Fishing Guild fisher.
Green Lizard catch and bank.(great profit, even tho you already did hunter)
Cannonball smithing in port phasmatys or other close members location.
Pyramid Plunder.(very complex actually… at least for color)
Summoning.(Falador might be a long one to walk.)

not sure that it would necessarily be profitable, but a castle wars fighter would be nifty training.

Also a very decent idea, I used to do this legit when I was a pure for easy cash and xp. Was gonna make a script for it but never got around to it

I'd rather have scripts with little walking and preferably with stackable items. During these last two weeks I have made a Falcon Script, refurnished the safeCracker, redid the MasterFarmer and updated the BirdTrap.

It's these kind of ideas I am looking for, small yet complicated main loops with little walking, or at least without the chance of getting lost.

I know you don't want too much walking, but if you want a serious challenge, make a script for the Mage Training Arena and make it work better than robotzindisguise :)

Clan war runner:
I've made this but it got outdated. Its pretty simple and comparable exp rate with fight cave runner (even beats it at times). The only thing is no profit, but I doubt you'll get banned because its soo crowded.

I also play there on my own accs, and you don't get random (seems like never) if you keep on going back to the portal and fight.

This script would vary on the character's cloth/armour, house style, items in the house setup and the location of the rooms. If you have mem, TBH it doesn't take that long to make one, because the lect has a gold out bound, so wear something that doesn't contains gold, and have your butler already beside you and you can start scripting from there. 400 lines max.

Vinesweeper is good farming exp if you are pro at minesweeper (Moi:) )
