Hehehehe I picked up a Droid today. So happy with it: )
Its pretty awesome although there are a few bugs here and there :s
Posting this from it actually. It is a little hard to slide at first but I hope it wears in.

When I went to the Verizon store to use of of these, I disliked it very much. I couldn't stand the keyboard, the screen felt more cheaply made than the Eris' screen, and the size. It's massive ._. (inb4thatsWhatSheSaid). I like the Eris though. I have the Hero, and they're basically the same phone. No physical keyboard.. I'm loving it. The screen on both the Hero and the Eris is very solid. It's amazing. Both have HTC Sense UI, absolute sex on a screen (has 7 screens, instead of 3). Size is more favorable for the Hero/Eris than the DROID. <3 Android though. I'm posting this from my Hero and I'm listening to Pandora Radio, on IRC (I recommend AndChat (irc client)) , checking emails, and playing ProjectINF.

@Zasz, if you want to pay the massive Verizon bill, I would check out the Eris before you make a move.
@note To All: Having a Hero means I have Sprint. I actually get better service and voice quality than I was getting with Verizon before I switched. If I got the same play that I have at Sprint, at Verizon, it would be ~370 USD a month ._.

Wait, bah shit. If you have sprint that means you aren't having any problems with irc and I can't ask you how you fixed yours.
