I'm a 16 yr old gamer, and have attempted to learn scripting in my spare time. I play anything from Chromehounds on Xbox Live to Runescape and EVE Online on PC. I have a willingness to learn and hope to become a stronger part of this community (I have been a Jr. Member for quite a while, and have seen the community decline somewhat in the last few months, so I would like to help as much as possible). I am something of a jack-of-all trades, as I play 3 or 4 sports, from football to fencing (if you consider that a "sport"). I am generally laid back and easy to get along with. I am also a amateur graphic artist with some decent photoshop skills and a wacom graphics tablet, along with a decent amount of knowledge of Adobe After Effects.

Please show us one (or multiple) of your scripts.

Glad you made a script, but you need to make one to show how much you understand SRL and how to use it. Also, it needs to be for RuneScape. Good luck :)

We get loads of applications without scripts nor effort.

-> only things like BasicAutoTalker; you can't have spaces in program/function/procedure names

Also how do miles->km relate to eur->usd? It's not like the length of a mile changes each day, just like the worth of 1 USD.

IIRC there's a tut for a MilesToKM calculator. He just renamed it but was too stupid too actually do it correctly :p

that's a little mean



but your autotalking script waits 2043 milliseconds everytime, no random, and is just a repeat until(false) with typing the message and waiting in the repeat, that's way to simple. You have USD -> Euro or other way around, then use MilesToKm, not sure if your equation is for money or distance, the debug suggests money, procedure name suggests distance lol, but you have:

writeln('2000 USD is equal to '+floattostr(MilesToKilometers(20000.0)) +' Euros');


you have it write out 2000, but put in 20,000 for the function.


I think both scripts are way to simple. Next time make one script, runescape related, and try to make it do some advanced things such as DDTM's/TPA's/RRW(tolerance) and things like that. I don't think you'll make it this time, but better luck next time.

• Runescape related
• DTM's/bitmaps
• Walking(radial, DDTM, symbol)
• Antiban
• AntiRandom
• Failsafes
• Good Standards
• Cases
• Arrays are nice
• And anything else to show your knowledge further!

I suggest you read this tutorial, as this is the only tutorial i read before making my members applications script, the one that got me in. Good luck, and remember, good attitude gets more votes too!

doesn't have to have all of those things, but each one you have is a plus, but it does HAVE TO BE RuneScape related, and pretty much has to have antiban/antirandoms, but if it's so amazing, and you left the antiban and randoms out it wouldn't really matter, but those three things you should almost always have, the rest is just good things to include to show you know your stuff, but don't worry bout putting in every single one unless you wanna.

Don't forget the attitude ;)

I came here when I was like 12 or 11 and this forum was the first I had come across… When I first started scripting I did exactly what you did… But eventually I got better so just hang in there…

hold on a sec…how can you access the srl members fourms? i thought that 'community member' was a lower rank then srl member? O_o
