You have to understand runescape was the shit when it first came out because of the internet era of that time (before xbox live and all that) most of the people here started around that time.

It depends on your age mostly, but if you play runescape a lot and you just started in the last year then yea, I'd consider you a 'nerd'

if your dudes, its normal. But now the game is whack and not worth playing… Always bothers me why people are up till 2 am like i use to , when rs was totally the best, but now wtf? why are you wcing or alching or training it's not worth it, you get nothing out of it.
The real pking is gone, so that makes it useless.

Please define, `nerd.'

Nerd
–noun Slang.

1. a stupid, irritating, ineffectual, or unattractive person.
2. an intelligent but single-minded person obsessed with a nonsocial hobby or pursuit: a computer nerd.

The second one makes me a nerd:p

BTW Wizzup I love your new avy :D Makes you look wiser :p

tbh, I think so too

And no, Runescape isn't for nerds, I play it (not much, as p1nky (~~~Joker~~~) already said; it's not worth it) but I'm not one of those above :)

Heh. I think the second one is actually for `geek', not nerd.

Playing Runescape doesnt make you a nerd. Your only a nerd if you play Runescape so much, that it interferes with your ability to get things done (homework and such).

It's a game based entirely around stats and numbers. No one could get away with just casually mentioning that they play a java based web browser game with a community that is just kids and weird little groups like this and not sound completely nerdy. You shouldn't base your self worth around what others think. Not that I am saying you do, it's just the word 'nerd' has kind of a negative stereotype attached to it, you know? I feel like I lead a pretty normal life, albeit, a kind of nerdy/geeky one, but, pretty normal, nonetheless. I mean, look at me, I just got out of the tub, stoned and naked at 1:47 in the am, to write this little paragraph, and post it where people I do not even know can read and discuss all kinds of weird/nerdy/geeky stuff, but tomorrow I'll get up and go outside and be just another person walking down the street.

i would think playing runescape would make you someone with no life. Programming is more of a nerdy thing.

I think playing RS being under the age of 12, and thus just recently started playing, is nerdy. There's better games to be played, you can still quit. Now, us above 16, we kind of grew up with it. It was a social online game in which you could beat your friends in leveling, armor or in(the best part about this game) PKing. When I heard they re-did the whole playerkilling wilderness thing, I thought to myself: Hooray, I quit in time. The whole purpose is gone for me. Now, I have no idea how this "Bounty PvP" works, so can anyone explain to me the "new PKing?"

Coding is educational, helps you make new brain connections and helps you think in a different, more sophisticated way.

PS: I have a girlfriend, play less than 10 minutes of runescape a day (to set up a few bots for my 12 year old brother, cause he begs me for free manies :P) and I'm smokin' hot. Not the type you'd say "nerd" to. I still like SRL and RS Cheating nonetheless, cause it's challenging. RS isn't challenging anymore, it's just skill farming.. :(
