Hey I have a couple of santas on my old account that I thought I'd get rid of this month for obvious reasons. I saw the graph on the GE and it's been steadily increasing and it's been oscillating the last few days. Would it be better to sell now and reap the profits or wait until Dec 22, 23ish and then sell at the peak of xmas sales?

i usualy see them crash the day after christmas…sell on christmas eve

sell now. everyone is going to try to sell December 22nd 23rd and then you wont be able to sell and prices will fall (just a guess)

it already dropped a bit. Has been since the 11th. If you think it'll start to rise again, wait till it's rising and sell for max, or wait for it to like level out and sell for approx. market. If you don't wanna take the chance of it dropping more and not leveling out/rising, then sell now for min.

Thanks guys, I knew of the drop that's why i was asking, but I guess I'll wait a few days and sell on the 15th. Either way, I'll be making a 1600% profit on each haha just looking to maximize that profit. Runescape inspires the greedy capitalist in me. :)

you bought them at 2M? 100% of 2 is 2, so 1000% is 20, you just cut off two zero's, and 16*2 = 32, plus the 2M you payed, brings it up to 34M, how much it costs. So you payed 2M for them and are making 1600% profit? If you are, that's very nice.

Yep I bought them at 2 million. Idk if anyone recalls me cheating back in Kait's forums but when I did, I did it on my main because I wanted to get banned (???) weird I know but I cheated and got banned. Lost my 2 santas, 10k nature runes, and oodles of other items.

I recently got my old account back and started looking through the bank. There and behold were my 2 santa hats and I still remember buying them for the very high price of 2 million back in 2005 or 2006. So it's been waiting and waiting to be sold. Now I can finally give these hats away for some amazing imaginary gold with which I will probably never use haha.

How ironic is this fucking topic? I'm trying to get the most I can and when I do, I'm going to do nothing with it, because I quit a LONG time ago. hahaha.

ah, if that's the case, just leave them in the bank for a few more years, Jagex isn't going under anytime soon and the prices will only continue to go up…..then you can brag on a 13370% profit :p

For the past 3 years jagex did many things that've reduced black marks.

Reduce of black mark at feb 2008
Release of new black mark system at march 2009
Release of temp black mark some where else this year
and
Recent removal of black mark Dec 2009.


This is how I got unbanned from perm ban 4 times.

I really don't know how my account was unbanned. I used to check it religiously when it first happened and spoke with people at Jagex to get it unbanned but they were like sorry no dice. W/e so I just created a new account (of course I couldn't stop playing) and then played for a year and a half. Logged into my original main account in the webpage (not the game) and there I saw 0 black marks! My jaw dropped and I immediately went to login to the game.

I think I realized this about a year ago but there is no way I have time for RS any more. If only I could split into 2. :D So anyway, I'll sell them and just login in March or April of 2010 and buy them back at around 10 or 15 mil.

Yea, it was a thing that happened some time between 6 months and a year ago. It happened to everyone I know, but im not sure if it happened to everyone. All our offences were erased, and i guess that could affect banned acc's too.

Imagine a bunch of Dumb-ass Ron's running around writing bad code and the real Ron has to struggle to fix it all before the world collapses :p

I don't think Santa's will ever be less than 15 mil again, sorry…They are nearly 40 mil now (ge), the cheapest I seen is maybe 20 mil (4 mints), come April, they will be 40 mil plus…..

Yeah, they're probably going to be bought out soon and will never drop after that…they might drop a bit just after christmas, but I'd bet my phats they will never be 15-20 mil again.
