It hurts me see'ing our SRL Family fight each other in these simple threads.
We need to stop arguing with one - another, its not the right thing to do.

Lets have standards for one, Lets try to be a better family, lets not insult others, or insult others for insulting. Those who do insult are clear that they have an opinion against something, but fail at delivering that message appropriately. Idiot := Idiot, Not 1st Idiot < 2nd Idiot, or vice-versa.

Thats one way for making the SRL Forums a better place, its my vision that we all can be different then any other forum. We can actually maintain a "healthy" Forum and respect others the same way we would like being respected.

Its just my vision, but rather then prove my point without having to tackle a person on there own opinion, I rather do it in a way that does not disrespect the family. Grow a heart for those who have trouble with this. All of us in Real Life do not tackle people for what they say most of the time. We actually *Care* about there feelings and opinions. Online is no different, Please just think for a bit, Thats just my standard.

You're asking a forum primarily made of teenagers to give random people on the internets unwavering respect. A noble, but fruitless request.

Real life has social pressures to maintain order and the like - something which the internets lack, a great example being 4chan if you know of it.

I love how often you use the word family, take that as you want.

If the "fights" get out of hand the helpful mods/admins/staff come along and shut everyone up, differing opinions will always lead to quarrels, even in "families". Have you ever had a sibling? I can think of no one in the world that I have fought with more than my little brother.

lol I know what you mean, I guess I used the term of family in an incorrect way, I do mean by the way of Respect and Rules. When we fight we show disrespect to the other person on the end. A lot of people don't know how deep it can hurt a person even if its online. These fights do more then quarreling, they hurt emotions. There IS another person your talking to online, and a lot of Respected Members on this site do not realize this. Rage is not a nice thing, its not only represented by the poster, but by the person who posts it. These are not just words there using, there insults. A form of Hatred, regardless of how bad you try to turn it around when it resolves, you demonstrated hatred. Thats is why I use the term Family, because as we fight, we forgive eachother. But you must remember, in a Family when a person gets hurt, they never forget.

When did we fight?

I discuss, and argue. But never ever have I hit on someone from these forums.

well fights do effect emotions, arnt fights usually Heated or fueled by hatred >.> We get a bit too heated in those arguments and people do get hurt.

Comon man you've been part of these forums for like a few weeks. I don't consider the people here to be like a family at all, it's more like a military core with a lot of different ranking officers. And the fighting really isn't that bad… if it gets out of hand there are people to deal with it, let's not make another thread or a big announcement about this again k?

And if you don't like drama then just don't read it. I have missed the last two(or more) too. I read some post just to know what happened then I leave it alone. And there will be always some because peoples are different and that's good.

But why dudes, these things target people. Don't you think thats a bit sinful. I mean look at us, we work together for a reason. When we go at each other things do get out of hand, people get moved, and all we do is simply " ban this, suspend that, end this..'' The things is we don't have standards to follow. This needs to change to ensure our forum's stay healthy. We need to be unified.

We here at the fine, robust community of SRL value your input. It makes us proud to see new members attempting to take initiative and interest within our "family", as you so aptly called it. We considered, heavily, your suggestions involving being more cautious about how we express our emotions. We gave great thought to doing as you say and repressing all our emotional assets and byproducts deep, deep, down inside, where it would never be handled, resolved, or dealt with.

We then realized that no progress would ever be made as it is how our community grows. We grow through conflict. We also realized that you've been here all of 34 posts and have no idea what SRL should be. Single user's utopian fantasies of a coder cuddle puddle, while both ambitious and admirable, are sadly misplaced resources. We also feel it is our duty to inform the user (you) that his inability to handle conflict and intense wish to resolve anything that remotely resembles social discomfort will probably hinder him in life. It is something that can certainly be an excellent asset, don't get us wrong. But waving it all around the place like a kid with a stick will bring said user (you) more pain than its worth.

With all due respect, we at SRL suggest you drop it, or at least tone it down. "Sin" and "family" are a little extreme. Also, stick around a bit more and get a feel for the place before trying to give it a complete overhaul.

very well, Since all of you agreed on it ill lay off, I apologize for my words in post 9. I guess ill get back to scripting then, thanks for the comments and advice.
