It seemed in the sudoku thread everybody was getting pretty upset/sad/mad that the sudoku method may be getting ruined. Even though much of the anger was probably just because Ian is stealing from us/profiting off Markus's script, but it still doesn't need to mean our money making is over. On a positive note..

My herblore method was making 3.2M per hour about a week and a half ago with snapdragons. Vials of water have really dropped in price now, so it should be even more profitable. The market is still really messed up due to recent herblore updates, but once prices settle down, I have a feeling that it will consistently be more profitable than ever (At least as much as sudoku is/was).

We can write a script to auto log into an account, buy 1 of each herb at max, make a potion, sell it, calculate profit, and give the best profiting herb for that given moment. I'm sure my herblore auto could be optimized to run at a much faster rate for even more profits.


And since unf potion making doesn't give exp, I've encountered very few randoms with it too.

That's no help though really, as it's rare you can actually buy/sell everything at minimum. Like snapdragons unf don't even sell at min instantly right now, so it makes a huge difference.

I was talking about a script that would log in and buy + sell the stuff. That way, you can base it off of the actual prices instead of just the GE market price, which is a pretty inaccurate estimate.

That will just get you a general idea of what will give profit and what won't

The only thing about herblore is that it's currently very unstable, and has been for like a month now. We don't know when it's going to settle down, and what will the herb market be like when it does. Do people sell herbs? Do people buy unf potions? Will this even be that profitable anymore?

If everything goes well, JAD's idea is marvelous! :)

If Sudoku blows up I'm sure we all have enough money to do some decent merchanting at the least, that that's mostly stable as long as we make good choices :)

I think if you have iBot downloaded it automatically is placed in your scripts when you run the bot.

I also think there was another script that was released then taken down, but quite a few people managed to grab it before that happened.

Whatever, sudoku has been ruined since .ian or whoever leaked it, all of these people who are going to be using it now are gonna get banned so yea, lets just be happy we got the most out of it and move on

Looked like they had their own version called kRougeTrader. I'm pretty sure it was an iBot script.

Since the sudoku script is being sold, I say it gets released. That would be the best option.

Supposedly, it's not being sold anymore, and if it is, not many people are using it yet, I oppose the release of this yet, if ever, I think it has the potential to have a very serious negative impact if used in mass….

But, my dear RAM, that is the intention.

Not only will those who bought it (I think I heard $300?) demand their money back, it will probably fuck up rune prices as well. Which is good.

And will bring more attention to SRL and SCAR, more users, more posts etc. Everyone thinks you cant make shit with SRL, but if we had a pic of us all standing there in phats and stuff, and we tell them its been going on for over a year and ~0 bans…it would bring some credibility to both SRL and SCAR.

… Which will then create a destructive cycle. Whee!

I use to have the same destructive Anarchy mentality as a teen, guess I'm getting weak ? I still have a little respect left for the game, and never intended to destroy it…although I do admit, It intrigues me with the power of the potential of the script poses…only good I could see, is crashing the rune market, everyone buy low, wait for Sudoku to get nerfed, then sell runes at high prices…nah, I'm still believe this leak isn't to big yet, but yes, it is growing…

Personally I think it would be hard to mess up the economy than jagex already have with the GE and trade limits - junk trading, merch clans, and so on

I like things failing, but this one isn't just for the lulz. Crash would be… useful.

Forget releasing to public, lets just hope it doesnt leak more, but im 90% sure it is :/. Releasing would just get sudoku removed from the game faster, why dont you guys cherish the last few weeks(?) you have left of it? I see no benefit in releasing. :D

Well, the point is you release it while it's still working.

A semi-related example: If a city were to be nuked, it would often be better that the populous of said city did not know and died in the attack. The mass of people moving out would be substantially harder to contain and support than a ruined city. You wouldn't have to retrieve bodies, you couldn't go in there anyway.

Now, let us apply this to our situation: Sudoku, as it was said, is probably going to die, and if it does not die, it would not have died if the script is released. And, it was also mentioned, the script may mess with the economy, which will be unsettling to players.

Now, if your goal was to get more people interested in cheating, that is a good thing. An unsettled person is more likely to pick an action you want than a settled person.

If your goal was something else, say, generating more wealth, have no fear. It would be fairly obvious what you do.


But to get any of this to happen, there may be a bang, not a whimper.

I'm with R0bot, I say we release it.

I'm done autoing with it now anyways. I just fear that Jagex will somehow know I did in the past and find it was unhuman like, and it could lead to trouble for my account..

They couldn't do that though, right?

Meh, lets just release it to everybody. Take some cool screenies of our wealth, show it off, as Claw said like "Look what we can do". Could increase activity and give more people gp here. Would help out our merchanting clan as well by getting more gp..

Well, if it does go public..I'd at least like to see an auth system ?…and maybe release to Members, then down, and coincide with the restructuring, if not before…that is if jr is indeed going bye bye, etc

I for one just did, I scraped the uptext check to hell months ago :p

Well, the whole point was to grant unrestricted access to everyone to the Sudoku script.

sure, just thought it would be a nice present for SRL members first before it is released ? even if only for a week ?..because once it's released, expect it to be nerfed the same day….

Now we know that we don't have a leak, and that we know only a few people have the script, which might be shut down thanks to Alex, theres not much of a danger. I vote we keep scouting for people, and if theres another big increase then we release, until then, we dont

That's kinda what I've been thinking. Their is a possibility Jagex will update the sudoku rendering other people unable to solve it while we have the skills in here to fix it and we can keep going on like normal.

What if Jagex decides to mass-ban anyone suspected of using this script?

It would have a very negative effect on our popularity if a large amount of peoples' mains were to get banned..

It'd also be really fucking funny… But it'd also make prices rise (granted it were released, and lots of people were banned), and turn people to cheating. It was a single script, not our community. And a script is an easy scapegoat.
