Cannonballs are highly used items in RuneScape. They are used in Cannons and a lot of people kill NPCs with cannons. People can earn money by killing NPCs with cannons faster than with melee / range / magic (a lot of people kill dragons with cannons).

Cannonballs are on a slow rise and it takes a long while for you to get a cannonball at market price in the GE.

Current Price: 313 gp
Max Price: 329 gp
Dump Price: 450 gp

3.6 million cannon balls were bought/sold this week.

Do you honestly think that this merchant group could even have the smallest affect on that?

I don't think this group is going to invest 500mil in a single month.

Plus, these are one of the best "noob" moneymaking methods that raises a skill at the same time. There is a constant flow of new cannonballs in the market everyday.

People aren't even selling cannonballs at market price though. It took me a couple minutes to get some cannon balls at 320 gp.

Sorry to correct you Ice, but

313 * 3.6M actually = 1,126,800,000

To buy them out we'd need to spend over 1B in a week.

It doesn't seem as if we have enough money here to actually manipulate things. IMO we have only enough to make smart investments and help accelerate a price that would rise anyway.

This being a good investment is what we have to decide.

Once noobs started noticing that cannonballs were going up they would make even more than before :o

That's generally what happens when an item that is so easily obtained is merchanted.

You guys need to stop trying to merch such common, "player made" items. They will never come close to being baught out, and therefor will result unsuccessful for everyone.
