And if I smile, it is because something made me cry,

And if I cry, it is because something made me happy,

And if I'm happy, it is because something made me sad,

And if I'm sad, it is because something made me remember,

And if I remember, it is because something made me forget,

And if I forget, it is because something made me regret,

And if I regret, it is because something happened,

And if it happened, it is because I made it,

And if I made it, it is something made me do it,

And if something made me do it, I'd write about it,

And if wrote it, it is because I had nothing to say.

You missed out a because on the third to last line and unsure, but the last line may possibly be "And if I wrote about it", but could just as easily not be.

May be just me, but I find it flows better without the beginning And - I kept naturally skipping it out anyway. The natural skipping of 'And' did also make the "it is because" feel a bit out of place.
I do also think the break of format for "And if something made me do it, I'd write about it," should mean that it's more of a dramatic line that the poem should focus on - either that or it should be altered to conform (and possibly another line chosen for that).

I did like the poem - the natural rhythm made it easy to read. Likewise, the 'narrative' of it was nice to read.
