probably

in a file on his website either the passwords are stored in a database or he let the passwords sends to his email.

Then why would he want your password?

you sure it was your bud? I know some viruses send out those kinds of links through instant messenger clients, if you know it was him, then fine, he (and some other people) might have it, if you're not sure, then change your pass.

I would change it regardless just to be safe, and if your other online things (like bank accounts/paypal/ebay) use the same pass, change those too.

Your friend shouldn't try to steal your passwords.
If I found out my friend was trying to, I'd beat his ass.

Yea, my friend had one of these, and it kept hitting on me, while sending me links. It was rather annoying and creepy lol. I ended up blocking him, and he ended up getting a new email for his messenger.

Just change your FB password, or if he changed it, I think you can recover it.

It is against facebook rules to do what he did, read up more info here.

If worse comes to worse get facebook staff to delete your account, or I think you can delete it then create a new one.

Edit - You can file a report here
