Hey guys, I'm looking to make a new script. My best ever written script.

What is it that we need? What is profitable? What is fun? What is challenging?

I'm not looking to make an AIO. Done many, and most of my scripts can easily be made AIO anyway. It's not challenging, just a lot of data collecting.

I'm not specifically looking for a profit, although for me the best option would be something where I get exp and a little bit of profit.

What do people want now-a-days? Which section needs more scripts?

Up to you. I want to hear all ideas - no matter how stupid they might sound.

I made one at the beggining of this year. It was great :) Ran over night, the them randomly get stuck. It was 3k lines, and so messy I never found out what was wrong.

This, ladies and gentleman, is what I call an amazing-ly stupid suggestion and waste of my time.

Now, why do I say this? Icefire has only ever released his one runecrafter, having spent longer on it than I have been on these forums and has not yet been able to do abyssal crafting. Now, I am indeed looking to make a challenging script, but that does not mean I'm about to put two years of my life into it, thank you very much. I also dislike the "I bet you can't do it attitude" which is why I felt it necessary to post.

Other than that, I am liking the sound of a guildminer. The Mage arena one I'd need a members account with a high enough magic level, and I'm perfectly aware that I am not in a position (time wise) to ask anyone to lend me an account.

Make something no one else would/has done. Make a teletab script! Profitable, challenging, great fun to do! I attempted to make one, however I lost membs after i finished a basic prototype :(

Here's some details:

• Can make up to 500k profit/hour
• Needs 30 magic for profit
• Membs
• 67 con for an eagle lectern
• House teletabs are the best for profit
• Needs the runes for the teleport, as well as one soft clay to make one tab
• Uses butler(you won't need to leave house)
• Can use elemental staffs in place of runes
• OK magic xp! (between 200-400m profit from 99, not too sure with current prices)

When i was a ligit player, this was my money making way. Some of the more advanced scripts get people banned only because ligit players report them. But inside your house, no one can report you, so if you make a good script, you will not get banned. You could easily make 10m a day doing this.

Tl;dr: Teletab script, makes lots of cash!

IMO it NEEDS to be f2p script, a large fraction of people dont have/dont auto on member accounts (often their main)

Guildminer would be wonderful, AFAIK there isn't and hasn't been a working one in a while!

Not that hard, follow the suspect around and ask some questions, if he doesn't answer then report him, if it is a bot then jagex would ban him if not then they would leave him alone.

I hope your auto responder will respond to something like "What is a grandma?", those are the questions I often ask to check if someone is using a bot, "What is the moon made of?", "Where is varrock?".
The best would be if SRL had a AI Chat bot that it connected to and used to respond to questions and stuff like that.

I actually lolled at the grandma one.

However, I don't think that someone would ask that unless they already suspected you of being a bot?

It would be niftier, if someone used IRC to post questions asked to a bot. If the bot determined someone was talking to them, then it would send the message to IRC, who would then have people in a designated channel answering the questions. Then the script would receive the message and relay it into runescape. the more questions or comments posed to the bot, the better its responses would get, because it would also record the questions and responses and use them to answer the same or similar questions in the future.

To initially get a largish db, one could just run a script in a populated area, and respond to everything said.

Hmm…i like coming up with large, user-created/community based ideas. The more complicated the better.

guild/iron miner would be cool, I haven't looked in the mining section lately though, so there might be a working iron miner.
I mention this, as I may set my guys to mining soon.

Yes, what about an al kaharid iron miner and when it gets a full load it walks south to the smelter and smelts the iron then banks, walks back up and repeats :D

wow…I actually like cycrosism's idea…

for the responder, just say like "noob" and add the user to the ignore list :p that way if you dont respond, jagex can be all "lol he ignored the guy, NO WONDER HE DIDNT RESPOND" :>

A Soul Wars script has never been done using Scar. A construction script?

RM, what about a Crafting Guild Miner? I haven't seen a working script that does this. I'm sure a lot of people would like to mine Gold Ore, considering how much GP it is.

You said you were looking for a challenge. I'm assuming this would be in color, so you would definitely have enough things that would be challenging (well … maybe not for you … but for us not-so-leet scripters :tongue:).

Anyway, just a suggestion.

f2p, p2p, awesome, great experience, makes some cash, and a challenging script to make! Id say pest controller would be best thing for RM to make, he'd also need to borrow a members acct if you guys want members support. Woo!

Guild miner sounds pretty cool. RM's scripts are always great.

Guild miner it is :) I already have a few ideas :D No time frame on this tho, as I'm very tied up with uni. Before I release the script I'll actually make a step by step tut, as I actually want to explain many o the techniques I use :)

You should try something that runs for a long time, like hy's script… i had a 23 hour proggy with it, that means it was a pwnage at that time, or n1ke's aviansie script liked that as well. Something that is very profitable and that increases a skill, That's a great script for me :).

Well, I really only started about a week ago and only has a couple of procedures, and haven't worked on it that often as i'm more focused developing my PHP skills. :cool: So, it may be a while :p

I forgot….? Mine's outdated now, and was only released to SRL+, so you could always release yours to JM?

Well, the reason was because of an error that nobody could figure out apart from the brilliant mind of mixster.

And mine is also outdated ;)
