In about 2 hours my time (-7:00 GMT), I am heading to Best Buy to purchase the new Call of Duty. Is anyone really excited?! I hope it can top GTA IV sales and turns out to be a really great game!

Why would you want CoD4 from someone else..? If you're going multiplayer then buy it, but if you just want to do some SP DON'T warez it.

I have a 360 that I rarely use :/ should I start playing it? Are there a lot of fun alone AND online games that are amazing that I should get? Convince me. :D

Well if you take a look at the first one (COD4), they (the developers) pretty much can't go wrong. I know I've thrown away something like 6 days, 6 hours online on COD4, and I know my cousin has spent almost that beating the game on veteran.

Honestly I rarely use mine either, had gamefly so I could play a bunch of games but eventually I just realized "wow this is the same as the last game". They kinda all are like every game in their genre. Course there are exceptions…. but thats off topic :o

Well I've heard from the people who got CODMW2 that it's amazing I didn't get it… No money:( I'll probablt get it eventually though. COD4 is the only reason I really have my xbox anymore

Its came out today here and some of my friends pre-ordered it and got it about 3-4 days early and i have to wait 2 days to get mine 'In the Mail' I hope :)

I'll probably be playing it later today. I don't have it but friend is getting it, gonna crash at his place. rofl

It was .. all okay.
The campaign was nothing really special, (at least not in comparison with World at War's campaign) but the multiplayer part was all okay. Again, nothing "AWESOME!!!111!1!!" but definitely something for those who liked :MW1. I still can't get over the difference between this and WaW online.. What bothers me the most is the fact that enemies don't appear on the compass until ~2 seconds after they've fired their weapons, which in combination with the fact that almost any weapon is very, veery close to insta-kill, leaving to possibilities for intense firefights, just running around sniping everyone with FAMAS.

(By the way, is it just me, or did they make Veteran difficulty harder?)

Oh, and one more thing that annoys me about CoD4: WHY DO YOU NOT DIE WHEN SHOT WITH A BARRETT .50? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrett_.50
(Just like you sometimes don't die when shot with a PTRS-41 in WaW. IT'S A FREAKIN' ANTI-TANK RIFLE, PEOPLE.)


Oh - plus the blood in the game looks like grape juice. Yummy.
On the other side, the blood in WaW looks like red flour.

I've pre ordered on steam have to wait 12 more hours to play q_q

I bought it, $67 CAD. Last night I gamed abit online but was tired so I sucked. The multiplayer is nuts (as was COD4), but today I couldn't get online (apparently neither could anyone else on ps3) so I played some campaign. Pretty fun but I basically am a multiplayer only guy.

Yea, i know, so what? I can go a day without multiplayer. There's a reason for Spec-Ops and Campaign. I plan on getting a 360 to play with most of my friends. I'll take free anytime. And I beat campaign, sad as fuck. Hate all them betrayers and good people dieing. When you beat the game there is a "Museum" so you can test all the guns and view characters and look at vehicles. Pretty cool.

Being a cod5 addict on 360 theres alot for me to learn in MW2…

The thing that sucks the most is that in Australia it came out a week before my exams…

I know exactly how you feel.
It's actually not that bad once you get used to it, pretty much like every other thing.

I really wish for them to combine the best elements of WaW and MW2 in the next game.

ok so like EVERYONE in my dorm went to buy it the night it came out. we have been playing it eversince. the xbox i am playin on is lvl 33 online. that number will raise even higher today. i am like so addicted to the online play now. it is AMAZING

I love how Evil Chicken you like WaW more than the new one. As far as online, you must not be getting killstreaks/varying your perks/weapons/attachments. This game has limitless possibilities, and I don't see it getting very old fast like WaW did. As far as the Campaign, it was still really good.
