I thought the DROID was going to be thicker. It's a pleasant surprise. However I am disappointed with it's keyboard. It was a boring lame one.. Have fun with Android 2.0! I got a hero about 1.5 weeks ago. Love it.

Verizon charges soooo much, plan wise. Its such bs :<

I just got back from the Verizon store. I played with the DROID, and with the Eris. The Eris is exactly like my Hero, just a different colour.
Tbh, I couldn't stand the DROID. The virtual keyboard was terrible. I type better on the Eris/Hero (even though the DROID has 0.5 inches more screen), and the Physical keyboard wasn't centred, so one of my thumbs was kind of reaching across the phone. I found that the home screen scrolling was terrible compared to the Eris, and it only having 3 compared to my 7 was kind of like 'Wtf?!' to me.
I found it UI completely ugly tbh =\ Stock Android was horrid imo :<

The hard ware (except for the [physical] keyboard) was great though. The processor is faster. I'm sure there is more you can modify with the stock Android 2.0, so I wont be surprised if it looks much better than the Eris in a few months

I wasn't puting you down or anything, just giving my opinion :)

I really like this phone, thanks for putting it on here I have not seen it anywhere else. I'm gonna go to Verizon Wireless tomorrow to see what kind of deals they have for it. (time for a new one)

After reading a lot of forums, it looks like most people had no idea the Eris existed until they got there. Don't forget to check it out :3

If I got the same plan on verizon that I have on sprint, it would cost $370/month.

As I said, they're way to expensive.

yeah, same thing I was talking about in this post…

http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52450

about the unknown cap…

http://www.complaintsboard.com/compl...tml?sort=dated

to bad it isn't just cell phone companies…I just carry a big jar of Vaseline with me these days as I'm pretty sure who ever I deal with is trying to F@#k me in 1 way or another…

I think Boost mobile is the best way to go with their $50 a month "unlimited" plan… to bad I still have 1+ year left on my AT@T contract :s

iPhone is nothing compared to Android. iPhone is proprietary, and lacks/locks lots of features.

And if they were to sell it off to other phone companies, it would cost a whole lot just like Windows Mobile, which was updated last month for the first time in 2 years.

I've heard that term before, can't remember what it means though. To lazy to :google: so just explain please?

The Claw, a lot of things could potentially go wrong jailbreaking, i saw this one guy had to get his ipod touch replaced cause he did it wrong. Also, with android, nothing techie required, and you get FREE updates to firmware, remember 3.0 for ipod/iphone?

For the things idont. Droid does. :D

Just lets you run alot of homemade (homebrew) games.
Like emulators(GBA,PSX, etc.) and useful apps.
Upgrading firmware can be easily gotten around, I gotten 2.0 and 3.0 for free.
It's very hard to break an iPod by jailbreaking.

Now, if you drop that bitch like I did 2 hrs ago and fuck the screen up then your screwed.

Eh? Jailbreaking an iPhone or iPod Touch lets you essentially pirate apps from the app store, as well as test your own without spending $100 on a dev account. Also, it lets you do things like enable ssh on your iPhone and switch networks :p

Thats, the smallest feature of jail-breaking, the apps. The best things are the things that you can do with your phone post jail-broken, all the things that have been locked out.

Buckleyindahouse, i'm going to have disagree with you on very hard part, i have jailbroken ipod touches, iphone many times, it takes a very short amount of time.
