So, those fuckers at openwall are selling their wordlist for $30. I don't care what you fucking say, it did not take $30 worth of effort to make it. Also, they claim to be bringing something to the open source collective… What?
So, if no other purpose, could someone help me find a copy of their wordlist? Not the free version, the one they're selling for $30.
I plan to kill those fuckers some day…

Does it have to be a specific wordlist? I have one or two kicking around somewhere that I could send.

Nah, not a specific one, but theirs has like 40 million. I'll take any, though.

That'd be nice. Anything will do. How about we collect word lists in this thread? Meh.

Any list whatsoever.
But my lists i use for bruteforcing. What do you use them for?
Im working on finding a way to take words from like dictionary.com and adding them to the wordlist and then mabye words from like urban dictionary. Mabye if i find a way to rip them we would have like a supa big wordlist.

Yeah, hm. Brute forcing is like the only thing to use them for… I wanted a big-ish one to be able to crack most passwords via brute force… I was interested in openwall's as it included many languages. (Don't ask)

Is it available to buy and download directly? If so you could hack that.
Offtopic, what BF tool do you use? I use Brutus.
And have you ever tried Bruteforcing myspace? I think it would need a hash.
Edit: We should start our own list that's open to contribute freely. like, stored online.

I use something of my own invention. Yes, it is available online. Was hoping I could find someone who had bought it, though.
Anyhow, try spidering wikipedia articles. Take in each word and see if it's in the dictionary you have going (it would initially be in order so that you could binary search it), if it already is, add one to it's commonness. In the end, sort by commonness.
Wikipedia because of the many languages :)

It's decent, but I'm using it for experimentation right now. Anyhow, I might implement my wikipedia idea…
Gonna be searching for words :-)

40 million> 80,368 ;).
Too bad most systems will lock you out if you fail a certain amount of times (or lock the account).
And I thought the future was rainbow tableing or w/e it's called.

Yeah, the free one from openwall has almost 4 million lines.
Fail cycrocism, that's the one I was talking about :p
I found a 178 Megabyte ISO collection of Openwalls' wordlists, Multiple Languages.
I'll PM you the link.
I have a huge wordlist somewhere, unless I've deleted it. I'll take a look.
E: Yeah, I have a ~2gb wordlist (80-100mb compressed) if you want it.
