Well, I am supposed to be working on my 3-5 rebuttal essay right now… but I just drank 44 ounces of Mountain Dew and started jamming out to some hardstyle(thanks Widget), so I am completely off track.
I was just wondering what kind of things you guys do to get yourself concentrated.
I usually start to concentrate after the first energy-burst from the caffeine starts to die.

Do 10 minutes of work, then after that decide whether to keep working or not. Most of the time you would want to complete the work because you have already started.
i work better under pressure i.e. leave it till the day before its got to be handed in and work my ass off on the night :D

Plus, I still get very well with the results compared to others who complete it all first then just stuff it and hand it in when it's due :)

Turn off your computer and/or TV. I find it easier to concentrate when my desk isn't littered with mess. Go to bed early and the next day you'll be feeling awesome and ready to work.

Stop drinking poison. Caffeine and all the other junk in that stuff will make it 100x harder.

1. Take a package of smarties, pour em into a bowl.
2. Have the bowl right beside your work desk.
3. Do not eat any until you are finished.

It turned out pretty bad. I didn't really calm down until like 12 in the morning and I finally finished my paper at 4.
