before anyone says yes i googled it, 1st rule any unstupid person should do

Anyway yesterday i was downloading files 200mb each from rapidshare 10 at the same time and it took a little over 10mins so i come to the 11th part of the iso and it says its gunna take 3 days like WTF
so i leave it restart my computer/router/modem still the same so i try to download an normal .exe (ccleaner) it says its gunna take 3 hours :/ normaly downloads like instantly i really looked everywere and nothing has solved my answer, i cleared all my browsing history etc etc and still no joy anyone know what could be up :(

im english bases and using BT which is usually great never had problems and been with them from the beggining :/

@Scaper, might be your ISP, might be Rapidshare. Have you made any changes to your comp recently? Why not try a system restore. Also dont base your DL speed on just Rapidshare. Test your speed on http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ (when your speed is 'normal') and then if anythings slow test it again and compare. That's about all i can say from the info you have given us, hope it gets better soon. (Also some ISPs limit your DL speed if you DL too much each month, that may also be the case)

Also be careful you didn't go over your bandwidth limit and your ISP is now removing your speeds.

I was epic downloading & upping the other day :s I hope they didn't cap me :<

I get 300 meg a day with HughesNet satellite ISP…unlimited from 2-7 am, so if I have to download anything I have to schedule for this time…if I go over, my bandwidth is severely limited ….forgot to read the small print when I got my AT@T aircard…5 meg /MONTH…..I blew through that the first YouTube video I watched :P..then crunk up Utorrent ….took them 3 days to halt my account and send me a $3000 bill…WTF… something like $0.50 /meg over this…luckily I was able to cancel the contract and they called it a wash….

Thats just criminal. They would get alot of "average joes" this way, who wouldnt be aware that you can get out of it so they'd just pay up…downright ridiculous.

Ovbiously its ISP restricting your speed. Your your "Fair Use Policy" regarding cap times.

You can do "+1." though
