SRL Archive - Banned from RS

So I haven't been active since I started college in August. Same goes with autoing and logging onto runescape. So today I decided to check out that new update that I just read about and to my surprise I was banned! The thing is, it said that I was caught on September 29, which was about 2 weeks ago. Now like I said I haven't logged on or done anything runescape related since early August, so I'm pretty annoyed about this.

I sent my appeal, but if it gets denied and I'm permbanned, then I'll share my username. It was a good one haha, that is also a reason why I'm bummed that it got banned.

Awkward ban. So what you're are saying is that you never logged on since August and it said you were caught in September?

Yes exactly that, so I submitted that someone else had control of my account, if they check IP adresses it shouldn't be too hard to find that out

In common cases, Jagex doesn't catch you for autoing until weeks after you actually do it.

Beh thats ridiculous, they denied my appeal as well.

Normally they flag your account and then ban you months later. Sucks

When my main got banned, the ban also came after 3 weeks I stopped macroing. I just quess that Jagex is so busy banning all macros, that they have slow reaction time.

I had a friend that his happened to. He simply replied with "I autoed. I am sorry. If you unban me I won't auto any more."

Well, there was a ban bug or something that went around too. Markus got banned as well from this, as well as quite a few runescapieans.

Oh also don't make a death appeal if you are able to send a second appeal. Horrible idea, cops might will come to your house.

Ya it worked. He got his account back, and they were like, "don't ever do that again or you will be permabanned.."

Just make sure you keep the account because Jagex might eventually remove the ban (Or it might expire?)

What I heard is that Jagex saves up their to-be-banned accounts, and bans them all at once, creating some sort of mass hysteria in the macroing community.

I believe one of these just happened recently.
