Ode to Fear

Ode to Fear
To the Fear in my heart who consumes faith -
The Fear that controls my every action,
That Fear whose image is like a wraith;
I am talking to this terror within.

My emotions have been very crippled;
My thoughts have been so overly corrupt.
Every day like hell as you tormented -
It is this life I wish to interrupt.

Now no more shall you dare to direct me,
For I have finally stopped caring.
Like a battered cloak I will discard thee,
Now no more shall I be as forgiving.

Today is my first of days born anew,
I can only hope my said words were true.

Man. You just pump out the sonnets. I like this one a little less. Maybe I just can't relate to the topic as much.

It's an interesting topic to write a sonnet about though. Good work :)

Just a question, how long does it take for you to write one? I've meant to get around to it, but I don't have much free time. :(

I try to write a poem a day - find myself with free time at college and so usually jot down things then type up if I like where it goes, so maybe an hours total work though it's not an hour straight. It's not so much I do it to even express a point or even make sense, but just to keep my imagination and creative side alive as I take quite heavily logic subjects.

Oh, and it's about Fear, not FEAR. Sorry.
