OK, heres the story:

• My computer is downloading updates
• Updates for some reason take four days
• Updates don't even download for some reason

I need help with either fixing the problem, or manually stopping the updates. Using windows XP home edition.

I'm guessing that shutting off the computer and hoping it works isn't the best solution?

You could try it if you aren't worried about messing it up. I'm not really sure if it could wreck windows and make it not start.

already tried that, updates just start again.
