O-Boy,

Will scripts that worked for SCAR 2.03 work for 'Diva SCAR 3.00"?

Sorry to bother, but I'm just begging to know.

Boreas

2007-01-19 19:36:38

I'm pretty sure it will be 1 of 2 things. Either it will be backwards compatible, or 3.00 won't make 2.03 obsolete and both can live in harmony if you know what I mean.

ruler did you figure out how a bunch of points and colors get turned into the string?

Infantry001

2007-01-19 19:43:17

Wow looks awesome, Freddy. Thanks for keepin the legacy of SCAR goin!

(I hope it backwards compatible… :D)

WT-Fakawi

2007-01-19 19:48:20

From my point of view a great number of improvements have been made over SCAR 2.03. I will tell you what I know. I will basically repeat Freddy1990's post.

Divi.

1. Tabbed Browsing.

You can now split up large project into smaller chunks. Thats a huge improvement. No more scrolling through 2000+ lines.

2. Variable DTM's.

This is maybe from a rs point-of-view the best improvement. It basically means this: You make a DTM the usual way, and then from inside your script you can assign it custom colors! It will now be very easy to spot mainscreen objects, minimap roadsections, rockformations and treeclusters, to name just a few.

3. Compass.

Since the compass had undergone a facelift, the old compassroutines were rendered useless. Well, not anymore!

4. Forms.

I am not much of a interface man, but this update adds functionality to the standard Windows Interface as well as for dynamic data inside windows, not unlike Scar's debug and status Windowdefs.

5. ColorPicker.

This one you will need to see with your own eyes. Wont reveal, but it is very very….

6. ColorComparison.

Cant tell, havent played with it, but it involves some AFAIK highlight comparisons and some smart autocolor detection.

7. Misc.

New Math functionality is implemented. This will speed up a all math oriented processes. New Mouse routines, Code Hints disable, better Downloads, more hotkeys, and lots and lots and lots more…! And yes, it is backwards compatible.

-= WT-Fakawi acknowledgement =-

I want to thank Kaitnieks for putting his trust into Freddy1990 and helping out in creating this. We owe you all! But most credits goes to Freddy1990 for all the hard work, persistence and countless hours he has worked to come this far. Your a Hero!

Not if you send mouse movement events as well. It is entirely possible to have a silent mouse that looks 100% legitimate. If you can do it with Java I'm sure you can do it with Delphi ;)

Thanks about great info, Fakawi!

It will be really hard time for me (at least) (and probably others too :D) to wait for it. But, it will absolutely worth the time..! :)

So, thanks ALOT Freddy about hard working, you are the man.

Also, definitely thanks to Kaitnieks, for giving Freddy the source, so SCAR can finally get bug fixes & updates! YAY! Appreciated, Aivars. :)

Without SRL, things might not be doing so good. SRL has been a really big success. Great support and effort for SCAR. Cheers guys & gal(s) [developers]!

As you can see, I am excited. :D

will there be the the promised sound dectection? Also, if your using VC++ why dont you add sevral vitual mice (very easy) with parallel hyper-threading, so you can do sevral accounts at once.

have you tried directly altering the http connections between the runescape cient and runescape.com to make a mega kind of silent mouse?

Sound detection has not been implemented, it didnt work out too well.

I can't wait for this! And for everybody talking about silentmouse it won't work…atleast not with the power that we would need to fool jajex and keep our orrigional curser.

A little off topic but does anyone know what happend to sythe?

Hiya

2007-01-20 08:49:03

im not talking about silent mouse - thats just stupid. What i mean is Parallel Virtual Mice (PVM). This is like having 2 mice on your computer - two cursors doing different things. However, if you make the 'runescape mouse' only work on one program (ie runescape.exe) and put that behind all other windows, you can still use your phisical mouse to do other stuff.

SCAR itself is a PVM client - it pretends that a person is using the mouse when it itself is using the mouse. The biggest problem would be to make SCAR choose the virtual mouse and not the phyiscal mouse. I just realised your using delphi, and i have no idea if you can use this concept on it (You certainly can on native C++) as it is a 2nd level language.

About the sound detection, It could be used for locating your charachter ?
Like if youre in lumby there the stupid song, if in barbs. etc. You know what I mean ?

Also I'm pretty worried, will old scripts work for Divi ?

Freddy1990

2007-01-20 09:22:46

Divi will not have sound detection and it will be semi-backwards cvompatible, i removed all depreciated stuff except the silent mouse, so all scripts using those depreciated function will need to be updated to work with divi, the rest however will be compatible

Janilabo

2007-01-20 09:36:59

As Silent Mouse wasn't removed, are you going to (try) make it workable? Just curious, because you didn't remove it. ;) If this is a question you can't answer (right now), then just ignore it. :p

Not sure if this is implemented, but its in idea:
Ability to tab between scripts.

Example:

2 woodcutters and 2 miners, give the miners 40 minutes EACH, then after 80 mins, it tabs to the woodcutting script on other accounts for 40 mins each, and repeats.

I won't be adding that, but thaznks for the input anyway :)

And I'm going to try to make a working silent mouse, but it will propably not be for this release of SCAR because i still have a nice deal to do before the release

Wow, It's been very busy in this comunity since I first learned of SCAR a few months ago..I guess I got here at the right time..I've seen a couple of updates to SRL already and now SCAR itself, this has got me very excited, and has promted me to learn even more, Keep up the great work Freddy,Star,Kait and all the people who help to make this what it is today :)

As far as the Silent mouse sub topic debate we have going on here…I cought wind of the "multi-point" software not to long ago…Please keep in mind that my computer and programing knowledge are vey limited, so this is coming from a "newb's" point of view…but I thought perhaps something like this software could be implimented…instead of worrying about Jagex detecting a virtual mouse, there would actually be 2+ physical mouses on the computer…instead of putting RS/SCAR in the back ground…maybe it could just be put to the side?….Or, even be able to use 2+ mouses in the scripts to accomplish tasks more efficiently….Of course, this would open up a whole new can of worms to Jagex, with the possibility of them questioning the use of 2+ mouses on 1 computer…but seeing this software is being devloped by MS, I'm guess it won't be to long before it is quite mainstream, and probably included with future OS..here is a link to it…. http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2006/dec06/12-14MultiPoint.mspx ..and if you still have further questions, I guess a web search could provide more answers than I would be able to give… Thanks Again RAM

Well… probably harder to do in java.
It'd be more then just process injecting of system files… considering you have to know how they work and exactly what to do once you're inside. :P
So takes a lot of studying…

Hey freddy, there is a bug in scar. If you make an array of a form component such as "Array of TLabel" then when you try to do something in a procedure like "TLabel[1]." the menu will not come up. It's quite annoying when you're working with tons of form components and such. Please fix this bug. I like seeing all the options in that little menu that comes up when you type in a period, but without it, I feel .. powerless.

Also another bug in forms. When you have a vertical or horizontal scrollbar. When you're holding the scrollbar and moving it without letting go, you won't see a change in the form until you release the left mouse click button. That's annoying as well.

Oh and any news on the new form components? I read about some, but are there going to be tab form components? or that TListView you were talking about with cruel?

True, pointless. You can easily set up a website that returns your external IP (less than 5 lines of javascript). All you have to do is get that page using SCAR. You can do it with the current SCAR.

Actually, I do have an idea how SCAR works. It is a pascal interpreter which uses native Delphi functions. Look on cruel's forums, there are loads of Delphi functions that do what SCAR does.

Q: Why do I keep calling what's his face "what's his face"?
A: It could be copyrighted as well!!! Ha ha, lol!

And I don't care if what's his face copyrighted it, I'm not taking anything out of it. I tried to decompile it using some decompilers made specially for Delphi executables. Looks like what's his face did a pretty good job of removing any debugging symbols and stripping the executable. Hard to decompile without getting a whole bunch of garbled assembler code. Oh well, I do understand how SCAR works but don't really have the time to make a clone unless other people are interested in helping me. I have the basics down but I need other people to help. I also have the beginning of a much faster interpreter that I tested using my SCAR MARK (modified a little) and got results about two to three times as fast. I need help with the rest of the stuff, that's all.

I can basically predict what the SCAR source looks like. It probably has a three-stage line digest pascal interpreter. Functions using native Delphi window handling and mouse moving methods. The DTMs are probably the most complicated thing in there, I could be wrong, but just a guess.

Freddy1990

2007-01-24 16:42:18

Lmfao, there's alot more than that too it, and the reason scar is slower is because is hass to process many more functions and functionalitys, and i honnestly dunno why you'd be bothered making a clone at all since scar exists and it will live on, and don't you think i haven't been improving scar?

Wow!! I might start scripting again. Even though I don't play RS2 anymore.
I have a request that MUST be added.
Add a second crosshair for a second client, because that would make it SO much easier for autoing on games that have 2 movable clients. really, if you don't add this, then SCAR Divi won't be much more useful than 2.03. Please add a second client.

By default there would only be one crosshair.
But if the script needs more than 1 client, you right click the crosshair, and set how many clients the script needs. Say you enter 3. Then there will be 3 crosshairs. You probably should have a Maximum of 5 clients.
Then in the script, to switch the the clients here is a way it could be done.

repeat
changeClient(1)
//reads how much health you have
changeClient(2)
//eats the right amount of food
changeClient(3)
//continues fighting
until stopKey()

also, what would be nice for the projects is if the could be run without being extracted, the a JAR.

Oh and in case you forgot, here is that bug again with the SCAR's "Load DFM Form" under Tools.

Reproduce the bug:
1. Open SCAR's form editor. Tools > Form Editor.
2. Click on a ListBox and place it on the form.
3. Click on the ListBox you just added, and look for Items on the left side of the Object Inspector, find that, look to the left of that and open up TStrings.
4. Copy and paste this exactly into the box.

ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1

ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1

5. Now click on OK and save the form somewhere.
6. Go back to SCAR and click on Tools > Load DFM Form and select the form you just created. And you should receive this error.

If you ever have looked inside of a DFM form, you will notice all these objects and parameters and such similar to the code generated by scar. Well if you look at the listbox object after you have added the strings, you will see something like this:

object ListBox1: TListBox
Left = 20
Top = 20
Width = 121
Height = 97
ItemHeight = 13
Items.Strings = (

'ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1' +
'ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1' +
'ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1'
''
'ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1ListBox1')
TabOrder = 8
end

The problem is the empty line right after "Items.Strings = (", delete that, save the file and try to load the file again, and it works fine.

Oh hey guys. I found out how to make a mega virus with scar a few years back. Please fix this bug, so it cannot be abused, and turned into a virus.

While you run the script, it compiles while it is running, which makes it impossible to stop. then what it does is it runs the script again, locks that to impossible to stop, repeats, over and over, while keeping the mouse locked at (0,0), keeps on closing task manager if it shows up, and makes sure you cant turn off the computer without unplugging it.

this all happens because of the glitch of being able to compile a script while it is running, and the script not stopping before it compiles.

Ya i received it, prolly forgot to reply, but I think a shutdown command isn't a very good idea becayse basically it can just make it possible for a script to shutdown someone's pc and people could lose their work and stuff because of that, might add a shutdown after script terminatiopn option later tough, but not in this release

Look in Borland's Delphi 7 compiler, I think you have it already. One of the form components is TImage and it has an item in the object inspector called "Picture". Look to the right of it, and click on the little box, and it will open up a small window where you can browse for a picture and load it in the image component you just made for your form.

TImage is available in scar, but doesn't do anything because it's missing that picture object within TImage.

I think I will answer this one:

SCAR IS and WILL be a color clicker, because of this it is only limited by the talent of people who script not just leech.

Next please learn to use proper English and grammar.

Freddy will probably never make it like ARGA in any ways close to the way you want it.

I don't really care about a shutdown function, but couldn't you do something in SCAR options, where it can do an action (play sound, shutdown, restart etc) when a script is successfully executed. So it would be in control of the SCAR user, not a command for the script to call.

But then you would probably want a save debug contents to txt file also.

It calls the same api that every other bot non-java calls, the win32 api.
c++, delphi etc.

Silent mouse is and always will be dectable unless you take over the frame/handlers event queue. This is bc jagex listens to many more events then they did x months ago.

I think silent mouse in scar is at the point where it can't be used to auto anymore much less be detected. Those that are close to making it work still run into the focus wall.

The fastest way for scar to be multi-client in win32 is UBI. But being multi-client goes against the SRL goals.

However you can probably make a modified linux operating system that is suited for scar.

Okay, here's a few questions:

Will Scar Divi be backwards compatible to 2.03? If only partially, tell me what doesn't work.

Can Scar Divi be ported to Linux? Or will it ever be ported?

Did you do this in collaboration with Kaitnieks, or is this a single project? Do you have permission from Kaitnieks to do this?

Also, is the code open source? I might *cough cough* style my copy of Scar divi *cough cough* a bit. *hoarse voice* I think I'm getting a cold, I need coughdrops…

Hiya

2007-02-08 15:15:44

i suspect it wont be open source, but if you can 'style' your version of scar just search google for delphi decompiler. i did it for you :) :) :) http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=delphi+decompiler&btnG=Google+Search&meta=

Also he said earlier it is only quasi-compatible, ergo you may be required to change some of your currently running scripts or just keep your old installation of SCAR 2.03.

Finally, decompile it and then recompile in using a linux compiler, although I wonder what use linux is unless your running a web sever or have no money.

Have you ever tried anything else besides windows? Linux is a lot more user friendly (to me at least) and easy to code in, plus I can use it to do "tricks" with the internet (you catch my drift??). Linux is not entirely free though… the CD burner + CD-RW's, the internet connection and download time (18 hours torrent, time = money!!!), the hardware… it adds up :P. Free = free to edit.

Anyways, back on topic. Thanks for telling me. I might try recompiling it in linux, though I doubt it will work… Most of the SCAR code seems to be written for the win32 API, so unless I use WINE or some other emulator, it probably won't work.

BTW, there's a bug in SCAR. When I end a script using TerminateScript and I have a form still open, it will halt the script but the form stays. Will gimme a memory access violation when I try to close the form manually. I hope its fixed in the next version of SCAR (SCAR trivi?)

Smartzkid

2007-02-08 16:35:02

on that 'bug' -> you have to unload/free the form before you terminate the script :
freeform(form);

btw isnt it scar divi?

botmaster

Yes, I was hoping it will be put into the next version after divi ("trivi", i guess). Didn't realize that forms had to be put out of memory after use. Thanks for telling.

Ron

Found a bug. If you make a procedure or function and you setup the User input values with an array of string. Example:

procedure Moo(Text : Array of string);
begin
end;

Then you do the Ctrl + Space thing to see all the functions/procedures, and you Type in Moo, notice it shows an image like this without the array of string showing up.

The only "array of" something, where it did show up, was when I used.
procedure Moo(Text : Array of Integer);

And it also worked with Array of LongInt.

These arrays I also tried and it didn't work.
Array of…
- String
- Boolean
- TLabel - Including all other form component arrays do not show up.
- TVariantArray
- Extended
- Int64
- Char

I couldn't think of any more to check. Hope you fix soon. :)

Freddy, definitely first release the Divi for Windows only (so you can release it (pretty?) soon :p), if you even plan to make it workable to other Operating Systems, as there is so many people waiting for new version who are using Windows. ..and as it anyways might take some time to build workable SCAR version for other OS's… :)

Ron

2007-02-11 23:14:57

Haha, thanks for all the nice comments on my bug finding skills. Here's another one. :)

The bug exists in the TComboBox component. In Delphi, when you add these items to the TComboBox:

ComboBox1 := TComboBox.Create(frmDesign);
ComboBox1.Parent := frmDesign;
ComboBox1.Text := 'Normal'; // Important
ComboBox1.Items.Add('Slow');
ComboBox1.Items.Add('Normal');
ComboBox1.Items.Add('Fast');
ComboBox1.Items.Add('Spam!');

In Scar it's shown as this:

But in Delphi it's shown as this:

Besides the differences in the background, the main difference is that the Text value in Scar for the TComboBox component doesn't do anything while the one in Delphi does.

Ok, I've given it some thought and i've decided to release 2 versions of SCAR
SCAR Divi, the complete version of SCAR and SCAR Divi Core, this last version will not contain any runescape specific functions.
Very nice. :) I don't personally use SCAR for RuneScape, I use it for other games/things.. …and the good thing with functions, that are NOT specific (RuneScape functions), is that, they can be used for RuneScape scripts AND to scripts that are for other things/games, too. So, woohoo! That's like; 2 flies with 1 hit. :D

Freddy, have you been thinking about any release dates, for em (SCAR Divi and SCAR Divi Core (?)), or are you just going to surprise us all? :p

Haven't set a release date yet, because i need to get the whole thing stabgle enough first, it seems the current version has some serious stability issues which i need to work out

Alrightys, that is a very good thing. :)

Hmm, Freddy, do you think it is possible to make SetTimeOut procedure work with milliseconds? It currently works with seconds only, in 2.03. :/ Would be nice to get in work with milliseconds too.. :stirthepot: (For 3.0 Divi Core? :p)

Smartzkid

With two SCAR versions, couldn't there get to be a bit of confusion? Like peeps who d/l the core and can't figure out why the script they just bought wont work…

My reasons are for me to know ;) But, SCAR will have all of those functions…
Don't think of the SCAR with the rs functions as a side version, because it's not, thats the main version, the core version is kind of like a "lite" version, but with only rs functions removed ;)

I know youv'e probably been asked this a million times but what about compatibility? Will old scritps still work and will diva and 2.03 be able to live along side each other? Also does Divi use less memory? Because that is the worst part of 2.03 is the huge lag if you run too many programs!

Avaphi

2007-02-19 16:28:52

Ronny: Yes old scripts will work. Yes divi will be able to live along side 2.03. I am unsure about divi using less memory, Although I am sure that it will be faster because freddy is removing many memory leaks. :)

I spoke to Freddy about that about a month or so ago and he said most scripts will be backward compatible but not all scripts.

I don't know about the memory part.

Smartzkid

If you have enough ram, you shouldn't have too much of a problem with running out of memory with scar; mostly it starts to lag cause you're running too many programs at once, and your CPU can't handle it all

I agree.

Sure it isn't hard to do freddy, but it will confuse the hell out of new people, and cause horrible headaches for all the rest of us. No matter how you do it people will always find a way to download the wrong version and install it. It really would be best to release one version with a plugin, or without.

I dunno how deep this goes and whether you can fix it, but can you make OR only check the second condition if the first is false. I mean stop checking at the first true condition.

program New;

function iseven(int:integer):boolean;
begin
writeln('sss');
if (int mod 2)=0 then
result:=true;
end;

begin
if (4=1) or (iseven(4)) then
writeln('yes');

writeln('-----');

if (4=4) or (iseven(4))then
writeln('yes');
end.

The second one should not bother with the iseven. I mean what if it was some function that took time? Every millisecond counts.

I've already got 9 carefully selected testers since the first alpha version (well it were 6 testers at first, but ok at the first beta the 3 others were added). I aim at (propably not gonna get there, but ok) getting all functions in scar tested before the release to find as many bugs as possible

Anyway…
As my edit on the first posts shows, I've added my FindColorSkipCoords dunctions as well…
Of course, in divi i use my best (and most recent) techniques…
Here's a benchmark to show the difference for that function in particular…

SRL:
Benchmark Results:
——————
Executed 100 times.
Average speed: 43,9 ms.

SCAR Divi:
Benchmark Results:
——————
Executed 100 times.
Average speed: 10 ms.

I have a suggestion.
Would you make it so that we could use {} instead of begin end, but could still use begin end, so as to be backwards compatible?
This would help Java and C++ programmers, and save alot of typing

You could add this in the time you have nothing to do while waiting for the web server

bullzeye95

But that would completely ruin most of the scripts already out. Most people use { and } for their comments.

Add something like this:

var bignumber:IntX(16);
bignumber2:IntUX(16);
bignumber3:IntX(32);
bignumber4:IntUX(32);

then bignumber would be a signed 16 byte integer,
and bignumber2 would be an unsigned 16 byte integer,
and bignumber3 would be a signed 32 byte integer,
and bignumber4 would be an unsigned 32 byte integer,

True, but then, noobs usually don't want to script, they want to cheat and leech. If they wanted to sincerely learn scripting and get help, they'd go through the extra steps to run a script. I mean, look, there's enough tutorials out there that teach one how to run scripts.

Looking so forward to the release of this…

Doing great, Freddy1990 ;) Just wondering, what happened to the function that was supposed to detect sound? Or is it allready in SCAR? Just remember something like this was planned for SCAR when RSC and RS2 were both still playable…

It was made, but it was too inaccurate and inefficient to be practical, so (as I've heard) it was ditched

You can still find it around sometimes; I stumbled upon it a few months ago…

Sometimes it works and sometimes it gives me an Abstract Error.

procedure FreeButton(Sender : TObject);
begin

end;

BorderStyle := bsSingle;
BorderIcons := [biMinimize,biSystemMenu];
Width := 200;
Height := 150;
Caption := 'Button Test';
end;
Button1 := TButton.Create(frmDesign);

Width := 100;

OnClick := @FreeButton;
end;

I get abstract errors when trying to free forms, too. I use an event from a button to free the form, always gives me freakin abstract errors and memory violations.

Ron

2007-03-10 20:34:48

Oh, you know what. I think I just figured it out.

If you try to free a component that is sending the event, then you are probably going to get an error. I'm not sure if you should or not, but most of the time it does happen.

If you try to free a component that is not sending the event, then it's okay. If you were trying to free a form using an event from another form, then you probably wouldn't get an abstract error.

What do you think Freddy?

I have a suggestion.
Would you make it so that we could use {} instead of begin end, but could still use begin end, so as to be backwards compatible?
This would help Java and C++ programmers, and save alot of typing

You could add this in the time you have nothing to do while waiting for the web server

but people that are NOT used to java nor c++ it would get really hard to see how the script is done cause of the { and }

What do you mean does not work? :confused:

Here:

const
MouseButton = 'Right'; // Left or Right?

var
Button: Boolean;

begin
ClearDebug;
case LowerCase(MouseButton) of
'right': Button:= False;
'left': Button:= True;
else
begin
WriteLn('MouseButton must be Right or Left... Terminating.');
TerminateScript;
end
end
repeat
ClearDebug;
if(not(IsMouseButtonDown(Button)))then
WriteLn('Mouse button = UP.')
else
WriteLn('Mouse button = DOWN.');
Wait(100);
until(False);
end.

But I think I got it what you mean.. It is not working correctly :G

Can be noticed easily with this:

function IsMouseButtonUp(LeftButton: Boolean): Boolean;
begin
Result:= (not(IsMouseButtonDown(LeftButton)));
end;

begin
ClearDebug;
Wait(1500);
if(IsMouseButtonUp(True))then
WriteLn('Button is UP!')
else
WriteLn('Button is DOWN!');
end.
When you click play and wait until you receive the status to debug box, it seems to give a status it is down when it is actually not down. :)

But hmmm, if you start script by using F9 or Ctrl+Alt+R, so not Play button, it will work like it should.

Someone was asking if the OR operator in scar left a statement as soon as one of the ORs was true. I said yes because I was so sure. Turns out I was wrong.

Run this script. If it waits 2 second. Then the bug exists in scar.

program OROperatorCheckByRon;

var
Num : Integer;

function WaitALot : boolean;
begin
Wait(1000);
Result := True;
end;

begin
ClearDebug;
Num := 1;
WriteLn('Checking OR operator...');
if(Num = 1)or(WaitALot)then
WriteLn('Done!');
end.

It shouldn't wait at all. As soon as it realizes that Num = 1, it should run the statement code.

2. How do you use the String to Picture?

1: im pretty sure associate .scar files makes it little more organized in your scar folders.

2: String to Picture
:= BitmapFromString(32, 12, 'z78DA73731B9EC00007409625D534' +
'7ABA7CF0B88776EEC71F2FF8D9B84C203E0D90E742FC7E24463D7' +
'EBDC4ABA1245E48357FD4FD23C7FDE4E52F5AB88D92FC3B74CBC6' +
'C15C870EBF7602000DA44EEF');

Fill in the width and the height (32, 12);

Then Stick the string in there (
'z78DA73731B9EC00007409625D534' +
'7ABA7CF0B88776EEC71F2FF8D9B84C203E0D90E742FC7E24463D7' +
'EBDC4ABA1245E48357FD4FD23C7FDE4E52F5AB88D92FC3B74CBC6' +
'C15C870EBF7602000DA44EEF');

then hit ok and it will show the bitmap;

Boreas

I thought associate files meant that when you double click a .scar file it will open in scar (as opposed to notepad etc) so you don't have open scar, and go to open.

Yeah, I avoid using OR as much as possible since it has to check every single component before triggering. I never thought of it as a bug, just a peculiarity.

I think that AND works the same way, and won't abort until checking all the components even if the first is false.

I just use sequential if… then.. else statements to avoid that problem. And you can always use breaks to get out of loops, if you want to check for multiple conditions in a loop rather than using "until blah or blah or blah".

Blizzard's warden client is a very advanced anticheating system (much more advanced then Jagex' one). Of course it does everything Jagex does, but more:
They not only retrieve progress lists, they also scan the whole memory! They make hashes of every progress and send them to blizzard, where the hashes are compared to the hashes of macro's. Window titles and that kind of stuff are also sent to them.
Warden is used in almost all Blizzard games with an online function.

Like I said, if you use the unsigned client you don't have to worry about any of those things, because an unsigned applet does not have access to the filesystem, or any memory or processes outside of it's own sandbox. This is guaranteed by sun. You can read more about it here: http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Security/applets/

the only "perk" is no UID read from a file. Same condition can be achieved using signed by first deleting the file.

This is no window spying, ips are seen by the server not the client.

This is true for what we know now, but there is always a possibility they could check open windows, or even scan the harddrive for cheating programs. If you use the unsigned client you can feel safe no matter what they do. :)

Ok, that's all very nice to know, but erm… check the thread title everyone, it doesn't say anything about cheat detection and such ;)

So back on topic…

SCAR Divi is delayed a bit as most of you might've noticed, that's why I haven't set a release date yet, there are some instability issues which I'm trying to solve first before i can continue finishing it up for release…

[once last offtopic]Who would want to cheat on wow? Thought it was fun…[/once last offtopic]

Dangit, well thats alright, I'm kinda eager for it to get out, as I've heard u made a new compass fucntion thing which I look foward to :)

Ya, I'm still tweaking that compass function a bit though…

Well, I don't think SCAR divi will come out within the next three months. It's been almost 3 months since the announcement of a new SCAR… Wow.

But it makes sense. No one wants SCAR to crash during a 6 hr autoing spree and come back later to see that the script only ran for 5 minutes, then SCAR gave up.

Even so, its surprising that freddy isn't getting anyone to help him with the coding. A project as large as SCAR is quite difficult to do alone. I don't have any knowledge of delphi, true, but even so - he could involve other people that do (if there are any).

I wish, but considering the company was started around 1917 the answer is no.

Not directly, I need to sort some things out first, but yeah…
It will propably cost a million like it did when kaitnieks was still around, because It does take a bit to do, and the scripts have to be checked for any… irregularitys ;)…
Don't worrie, the geepees aren't for personal use ;) I don't care about rs anymore anyway…
But I will use them for scripting contests and such

$8 I think..

But I think, Freddy, that 1 mil is kinda a lot, though, I guess, that if you plan on putting it for sale, then you'd make more than 1 mil lol.

Infantry001

Ummmm…. Freddy, this may sound really nooby, but my computer has problems with msi's, (maybe i need to reinstall the OS) and im sure im not the only one, but could you release a zip or rar file with just the files, no msi needed? thx

bullzeye95

2007-04-23 18:16:28

TwilightRook, try going to:
Start > Run > Type in "services.msc" without the quotes. Then scroll down the list until you see Windows Installer. Right click on it and select Properties. In the drop down box (Startup Type), choose Automatic, if it's not already selected. Then click the button that says Start. If that doesn't work, you're probably gonna have to reinstall your OS.

@Freddy: Why did you remove GetSelf and GetApplication in the first place? Was it a security issue or something?

Freddy1990

2007-04-24 10:19:21

Scar isn't an msi…
And yes, there were some security issues with getself and getapplication…

Thats not an error with SCAR at all… that means that one of the plugins for SRL is missing…
