First sig in quite some time

Here is my first sig. In an awfull long time. It's probably the first time that I haven't had a random brush floating around in it. I look back on my old sigs and I realized a lot of them were really ugly with way too many brushes. This one is more simple, and I tried to follow a tut that taught me some new things.

I know it isn't perfect. I haven't touched PS in forever. I don't really like the blank space, or the font that I used. But everything else I put in seemed way uglier. I was thinking of simply a white faded name in a simple font, but then I got into the effects and put a couple too many in there XD

So yeah. Any suggestions, tips, hates, loves, whatever you want. I'm just looking for some feedback to help get better :)

Perhaps move the text up a bit, because it looks like it's right on the bottom.

Up a little bit like in yours? I had it way up near the top, but I didn't like it there. It was near the end and I was getting fed up XD.

I'll see how it looks up higher. :)

Hmm. I do kinda like it up a little tiny bit. For now, I'll keep the most updated one in my actual sig.

Add a c4d or something to fill it out ! :)

It's good ! :) I like it, although its a little too light ;).

I did play with the idea of adding a c4d to spice it up. I think that I probably would if it was my own idea. But the purpose of this one was to learn new things. The tutorial that I roughly followed didn't use one, which disappointed me. I was also unsure of what kind of c4d to use. Something small most likely to go under the render, you mean? Instead of the radial gradient that I used. It sounds like a good idea. My next one will definitely use some more fancy elements as I learn more :).

I was actually really hoping you would post ;). I know that you know what you are doing, and I was hoping you would have some insight. Having you say that you like it means a lot to me :).

By a little too light, you mean the blurred things under the render? Is that just a personal choice, or would it be better if it was darker? I was really just going for the ripple effect around the render, which make it look pretty cool, and the tutorial just gave me some other things. Linear dodge and color dodge on blurred versions of the render are what is underneath it.

Crusaders are holy ;) (its a crusader right ?) so its fine.

I like how, your sig is, compared to mine, so clean and neat ;).

Compare yours to mine :

Get what I mean ? Yours is more clean and "smooth", mine is more… You know :p.

I got the render from PlanetRenders. I searched Knight. I think the file is actually called Age Of Empires. So I'm guessing it's a render someone made from the game. You can think of it as whatever you want though. ;)

Yours has lots of effects, where I didn't want to confuse myself. I actually kinda looked to your current one and I think it looks like it sortof maybe. It's more smooth than the one you made for r1ch. Maybe you just got carried away with the C4Ds on that one :p
