Memories
Warmth
Time turns memories into dust,
Even those that we want to trust.
It distorts facts to morphed visions,
But still we are faced with decisions.
Do we assume that our memories are wrong,
Or do we hope that it has not been that long?

As the wintry days suck me of my heat,
I need only think of your loving smile.
As soon as I do my heart takes a beat,
With the cold losing its hold all the while.
