Gold ores are a very good smelting xp item for p2p and they get to use gold smithing gauntlets and very close to bank furnaces. It just took a very strong hit downwards, which leaves me unsure wether it is good to merchant now and catch it just as it starts to raise, or if you start merching it now if the price will just keep on falling as it is. Do notice that it went down 20% in just 1.5 days, which could suggest another clan has just dumped it. I am not an expert at this, these are just my two cents.

It is a good item, just now sure how good the timing is.

RM, it wasn't a clan that made it crash, it was an update for high leveled P2P miners. There's a new mine you get to from the dwarven mine and it has rocks with like 50+ ores of coal and gold. So people sit there getting an inventory then bank it closeby, so there's an abundance of gold in circulation, more than usual, causing it to drop.
