This is where I am at so far;

http://www.definition-designs.co.uk/New/

What do you think? All of the code is valid, CSS at 2.1 and xHTML 1.1.

Just wondering what you think of the design at the moment and the navigation bar (roll over the navigation options)

nifty. And the theme fits in with my computer and FF themes, so its even better. I very much like the different colored roll over options.

yeah i have to agree with ABC, the colored boxes look kinda out of sinc with grey background. I think it would look better to have the text just turn white without the colors

Looks good, exept to much black space above the navigations, mabye a logo would fit there

The text on the nav bar is too dark and doesn't stand out.
Make the text brighter.

I agree with ABC.

The nav bar looks a bit too big.

Large Space = Fills Space on the page = Easier to create minimalistic. I'm still working with the text colours. Also, it looks boring without the coloured backgrounds. In an aesthetic sense, RGB compliments dark grey.

And I don't think you should be making your website this way… Before rollovers, color selection etc… Get everything into it's right place…

and I don't understand the thing your doing with all the headers…

It's nice.
Can someone PM me why you need to validate a site or something?

How do you mean? I dont think I quite understand you.

Hermen, any potential clients are very web savvy now, and most will validate you code to check you are a compitent coder.

I'm pretty sure it's to make sure that it's cross-browser compatible, too.

And I understand what you're doing with the RGB now. ^^ It makes a lot of sense, and it's pretty cool.. I think it should blend more or something.. maybe have the colors loaded but change the opacity onmouseover and onmouseout? :) I think that'd be pretty cool.. If you don't like that idea, you should blend them into black more, in my opinion. It's just.. too sudden for me. :p It could very possibly be due to the full white screen below it (I know you're not done, love. Just trying to help. :)), or if they're just too.. bold, I suppose. :] Either way, good luck! (I really like the opacity idea.. in my mind it looks really cool.. :p OH! And the text is a little bit too in between pixelated and smooth.. I tried it in Opera, Chrome, FireFox, and IE, so I don't think it's due to my browser.. :p Just make them as images? :) (Just the text or the button + text.. either way.. :)))

OMFG IAN I LOVE YOU. <3

And also, thanks for the feedback. CSS3 is all that has opacity and it isnt very used at the moment, also, images take too long to load (not much but enough to ruin potential clients interest, etc.)

CSS gives access to opacity? Awesome!

Hermen, yes it does, though like ToF said "it isn't very used atm" as browser support for it just.. fails.

There are plenty of browser specific css styles (-moz-radius etc), however these aren't valid :)

Nice site so far, ToF <£ <3

:o I tested it in IE and FF and it worked (opacity).
