Just wondering how the GE works. What i mean is how does it select what gets sold to who and who can buy what if prices are the same does it do it in first bid or split the total amount and give a little bit to all buyers/sellers or something else?
cheers

I know it uses a priority system.
If you try to buy 1000 of an item, and put two offers in the GE for 500 of that item, the offer you put up first will buy completely just before the one you put in second.
For instance, when someone sells 100 pure essence, and you have two offers for 50 pure essence, you will usually get 55% on the first offer, and 45% on the second offer.
If that doesn't make sense, let me know :p

alright, sorry :p
I meant to say if you have 2 offers for 100 each, and someone sells 100 ess, the first offer will receive about 55%, and the other about 45%

if you put something for sale and some buys 100 of that, they could get yours, or anyone elses..thats pretty much simple way i would think.

buying in smaller portions helps
selling in smaller portions does not make a difference, just takes up space.

It could just be a huge coincidence, but I have been buying ALOT of herbs lately for herblore, and I've found that putting multiple buy offers
does help. I get much faster than using one offer.

Apparently the GE system doesn't like 100k offers in one box. It's best to do 15k in each and then 25k in the last, or do 10k in each, then when you can do the other 40k worth in separate boxes. :)
