Okay, so i have been working and came to this:
The DTM DataBase that is included with the offline editor kit me and J_Pizzle are working on, is almost complete. The database will be hosted seperatly from my website if your dont wont the whole kit.
I have several options:
1)Put the whole kit into a seperate IDE
2)Create it as a plugin with Delphi to SCAR - This would just be a additional menu on the file menu as "DTMS" and you would go through and pick a subcategory (walking, ores, runes ext) and it would convert the DTM to a string.
3)I could create a include with all DTM's preset as variables (example:)
{.include DTMS/Weapons.scar}
Please post what you which option you would prefer.:garfield:

Closed - The Final DecisionWell i decided to go with the delphi plugin as it was my favorite also. Thanks to everyone who voted/posted, and im going to finish it up now.
The Delphi plugin will be ftw, shouldnt take to long to make either sence i already have dtms (me and j_pizzles).
I might make a seperate editor later becuase one person wanted it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but a DTM data base has been discussed on several occations. It wont work out, as rs items get updated so often.
Good luck :)

I'll help if they were bitmaps - Bitmaps are found faster then dtm's

well, a dtm database would need to be updated just as much as SRL_Bitmap, and im sure there are more bitmaps than dtms atm

Sorry to burst your bubble, but i can update too, not that hard to make a dtm every time a object comes out or changes, doesnt happen that often. Thanks for the good luck though lol. And as its been discussed i have seen no progress what so ever
Cryrosim:
I will make a bmp database also later on, after i finish the DTM database.

I like the plugin idea, but this whole thing could be done in 1 .INI file :p
Just save the DTM-strings to the INI, and then
ReadINI(…)

Its so simple making DTM's i dont see why there a need for a database. If there was one could just be a simple website with a massive list of DTM's.

IMO the best solution is a standard automatic algorithm, not something human created. That way, if 2 people both run the function on a pick, they get the same output, whereas manually created dtm/bmp/whatever would be different. Also, you can create the output during runtime on a slot, and compare it to known outputs to find what it is. This means you won't find an unstrung bow in the same place as a strung bow, like with DTMs. Of course this also means it can update itself very easily, especially if jagex has more frequent graphics updates. So IMO, the best options are DDTMs, FindTransparentBitmap, and BlackLists (or maybe just countcolors if it's a small number of items).

It will have that all also, DDTM database and all.
and nice .ini idea, i think ill make that option along with the include if you dont want the ide or plugin
