Decision Time
All of the cities were listed and we all posted facts for each city representing what we should do in the particular city. Now its time to decide what we are going to create. I gathered all the information from all threads and put it into one for simplicity :) Took awhile, but im done!
"
RM:
Which one do you think would be the best city to start with? We'll get to all of them, but to start with. Imagine your character is fresh out of tut island, where would he have the best possibilities of becoming a propper account?"
Before you vote make sure you go over the possibilities:VarrockGatherers- North varrock yew trees - Level 60 Woodcutting
- Varrock east and west mines
- Other trees - 1 and 15 woodcutting
- Mining - Essence mining and banking.
- Woodcutting - Yews near church.
- VWM is great for silver VEM is great for iron
- Ive made a chopper for east of VEB , tons of regular and a few oak tress. Logs=40gp Oak Logs= 54 gp.
- VEB vial/bucket water filler.
- VEB cooker.
- Kill those warrior guys. But have an option to be able to pickup the bones and bank them at Al-karid bank, and walk back and continue. (Bones are worth like 100 each).
- Vial water filler.
Non-gatherers- Potions
- Rune shop
- Dark Wizard fighting - recommended 20 combat+
- Lumberyard (members only)
- Earth Alter - Like level 10 Runecrafting (wasn't showing up on Runehq. Will
- check later)
- Dummy - level 1-7 attack level
- Wheat
- Smithing - VWB.
- Fight dark wizards for runes and thier robes sell for 800+gp?
Very good magic xp (and script ive made before) zombie crumbler. Cast crumble undead spell in sewer from other side of river from zombies. 100% safe and great xp.
- Multi Sewer Fighter? Or at least rat fighter for fast noob combat training.
- Re: the tree chopping, a fire maker is also good at the VWB. Start making fires a bit past the staff shop, and you end up at the bank door. Fires also good to make at the GE.
Misc- Fighting
Guards in the castle (both on ground and in tower).
Rats in the dungeon east of castle (not sure if that's what you meant, RM).
- Quest - Demon Slayer, Romeo & Juliette
- Buying all needed equipment and supplies at GE.
Edgeville/Barbarian villageGatherers- Yew trees - level 60+ woodcutting
- fly and bait fishing - level 20+ for fly, 25+ for bait
- Coal and other ore mining
- Lots of trees to cut
Mining:
– level 1 for tin
– level 30 for coal
Fishing:
– level 20 for fly
– level 25 for bait
WoodCutting:
– Level 1 for Trees
– level 15 for Oaks
– level 60 for Yews
Fighting:
– Strong Hold of security (level 5 Goblins minimum)
– Monastery (lvl 5 monks -> healing at monks)
– StrongHold of Safety (high level)
- Strong Hold - As RM said, with the locations, but perhaps if you run out of food, it runs out of the stronghold and fishes trout/salmon and cooks them in the armory room.
Non-gatherers- Body runes - level 20+ runecrafting
- range/cooking
- Smithing: depends on bars (at anvil in Barbarian)
Smelting.
- To add to cooking, the possibility of making a fire at the fishing spot, and cooking (only if there isn't already a fire there). Level 15 for Trout, 25 for Salmon.
- Dungeon Near Yews - Skeleton(Level - 22/25) fighting.
- Dungeon South of Yews - Several monsters for both low and high levels.
- Hah i guess no one knows/im an RS nerd. The building east of the general store has like 6+ "men" in it. This would be perfect for combat training and collecting some bones/runes/coins/whatever men drop and bank is nearby.
Protip: A strong memers account can 1 to 2 hit men easily with a good weapon and men often drop decent herbs. This is good for selling at ge/cleaning for experaince/ and using in pots. Men even drop ranarr which goes for 9k each.
- Guards here are often not too crouded and are range/mage able though the gate i believe?
- The stove is pretty close to the bank
Al KharidGatherers- Dwarven mines. Good iron power mining.
- —Rocks: 1 Tin, 3 Copper, 9 Iron, 2 Coal, 6 Silver, 2 Gold, 3 Mithril, 2 Adamant.
- Low level fishing - bait + net
Non-gatherers- Fire runes - level (12?)+ runecrafting
- Low level guards to fight
- Cow hide tanner
—Green, Blue, Red, Black dragon hides.
—Hard and Soft leather
—Snake hides
- Furnace/smelting
- Al-Kharid warrior(Level - 9) <- is that what you meant by guard?
- Cooking at Range (under furnace)
- Along with the tanner idea, also leather crafter, buy supplies at store (needle/thread), kill cows, tan hides, and craft at bank.
Misc- Cow fighter/hide banker. Can be either Lumbridge or Al Kharid, I just thought the bank was closer in Al Kharid.
- Protip: For super fast fire rune making (members only)
1)Fire tiara, ring of dueling, 1 space for fire runes, rest is ess
2)Teleport to duel arena (with duel ring)
3)Run to alter and create runes
4)Teleport to castle wars (with duel ring)
5)Bank and repeat (bank is super close)
Too bad its members only though
FaladorGatherers- Dwarven mines
- Mining guild - level 60+ mining
- Cow killer + hide banker- Level 15+ combat recommended
- Yew trees - Level 60+ woodcutting
- Crafting guild - level (40?)+ crafting and brown apron

– Silver Mining (lvl 20)
– Gold Mining (lvl 40)
– Hide Tanning
– Cow Killing
– Pot Making
- Cabbage Picker
- FEB - Outside bank firemaker
DraynorGatherers- Lots of willow trees close to a bank - Level 30+ woodcutting
- Low level fishing
- Swamp tar picking up (members only)
- Mining
- —Rocks: 7 Coal, 5 Mithril, 2 Adamant.
- Four yew trees - 60+ woodcutting
- Water rune crafting - Level 6+ runcrafting
- Oak chopping/banking (east of jail) - Level 15+ Woodcutting.
Non-gatherers- High leveled jail guard - good for maging and ranging
- Possible Rune Mysteries quest
- NW Dungeon - Zombie(Level - 13)/Skeleton(Level - 22/25) fighting.
- Wizard's Tower - Wizard(Level - 9)/(Lesser(Level - 82)[Mage/Range]) fighting.
- Re:Coh3ns zombie/skeletons. Once again we can crumble undead on them, not sure about safe spots
- Lesser demon upstairs is good magic xp, and drops rune scimi/nature runes I believe? Which can be telegrabbed.
LumbridgeGatherers- (Fly?) fishing - level (20?)+
- 2 mines. One is for noob ores (tin, copper), other has coal, mithril, adamant, more.
- Fishing
–East of Goblins - Fly(Level 20), Bait(Level 5).
–South of Lumby - Net(Level 1), Bait (Level 5).
- Mining - What's the second mine?
- WC - level 1 behind castle (tree)
- WC - level 15 behind castle (oak)
- WC - level 60 behind castle (yew)
- WC - level 30 by the river (willow)

- Tar gathering (Members only).
- Woodcutting - Powerchopping east on castle.
- Crafting
–Wool to Ball of wool - no level requirement.
–Flax to bowstring - Level 10 Crafting.
- Remake of "LAME" idea. Get runes/arrows free every 30 minutes from the mage/range instructors, kill either chickens, goblins, or cows nearby. With enough characters it can loop forever and get free magic/range xp. (Earth Staff + 1 air + 1 Mind = Earth strike?)= Good xp on cows!
- Multi-killer, fights chickens, cows, and goblins based on combat level, user preference, or even fight all 3 for 10 minutes at a time each.
Misc- Fighting - Dummy fighting.
- Quest - Sheep Shearer, Cook's Assistant.
When you vote for your answer, provide a brief statement why you chose that particular city!

Great job, I'm sure it did take a while. :p
Just reading through it, I have some suggestions for you to make it more organized and easier to read.
- Varrock
- Gatherers
- You have multiple points for the same skill, maybe combine them into one point. Here's an example:
- Woodcutting -
– Yews, north of castle/near church - 60 woodcutting.
– Oaks, west of VWB - 15 woodcutting.
– etc.
- Same thing can be done with Mining, and other places throughout the post.
- You have Vial filling twice.
- Your second last point should be in Al Kharid. :p
- Non-gatherers
- It is 9 Runecrafting for Earth runes.
- You have Dark Wizard fighting twice.
- Misc
- You could add Dark wizard fighting here, and remove it from "Non-gatherers".
Well, there's no need to go through every city, I'm sure you get the idea. ;) I'm also going to make a thread for Rimmington, so keep an eye open.

I think a karamaja lobbie fisher/cooker and fighter would be a good future project (way future project), so whatever can train fishing and cooking from level 1, which looks like Al Kharid, Lumbridge, and Draynor. Al Kharid is ok, but I already got a smelter and an ammy crafter (which I can release to members if someone will clean them up for me), I believe several people are working on guard killers, the mine looks really far away, and the hide thing might as well be its own script. Draynor looks mostly for medium levels. Lumbridge makes the most sense for new accounts.
Edit: Coh3n has a point about the bank, so how about combining primary skills with secondary skills for less frequent banking. Fish and cook, shear and spin, mine and smelt (although because you have to double back, I think it would be more efficient to mine and bank elsewhere then smelt in Al Kharid), chop and burn/drop.

Lol I forgot to vote on my last post. It's hard to say which I prefer. It's between Varrock and Lumbridge.
Lumbridge, I think, is better for beginners, but the banking is a pain because you have to climb up and down two flights of stairs each time. Also, if you wanted to train woodcutting, and bank the logs, depending on the tree you're cutting, you would have to walk to the back of the castle every time, and would be very slow.
In Varrock, banking is easy from almost any direction.
I'm going to hold my vote until I see what other people say.

I honestly belive varrock to be the best location.
Easy money from low level WC and Mining, as both normal and oak logs sell for high, as well as tin and copper. With those two skills you pretty much have the money to start on any other skill. You also have the dungeon to train low level combat, where you can then bring back the meat and bones from giant rats.
So those would be the 3 starting skills and it wouldn't be hard to achieve. Then, varrock also has the GE where you basically would be able to buy all materials you need! from mith - rune pickaxes and WC axes and fighting equipment, etc. This is an avantage that no other place provides.
Finally, if we do it city by city, varrock alone is a perfect place for at least 6 skills (WC, Mining, FM, Fighting(melee/range/magic), Smithing, RC).

That makes a lot of sense, I'll vote for Varrock.
I voted Varrock, but am starting to think Lumbridge.
Based on this question:
Imagine your character is fresh out of tut island, where would he have the best possibilities of becoming a propper account?
The first thing that would need to be done is an auto fighter, correct? The rule is you can't start auto woodcutting…etc. until you are 20+ combat. The way I got my armies combat level up was with Goblin Scheduler, and that is probably one of the best ways, because even if you die, you can simply death walk back.
Maybe start with Lumbridge, doing minimum just the goblin house fighter, then go to Varrock?

I vote for Lumbridge, most of skills can be started there with no risk of dying, you can walk again in case of death and there are goblins, chickens and cows which is good training for new accounts.

Hmm, after your's and JAD's posts, I'm beginning to veer to the Lumbridge side. Mainly because you can do whichever form of combat you wish, which is essential before you start skilling. Could I have my vote changed to Lumbridge?
Boreas: changed
EDIT: Another thing I just thought of, is that Lumbridge is smaller than Varrock, so we'll be able to get decent practice in and a thorough understanding of everything we're suppose to do before we move on to the biggest city in F2P. :p

Yeah you can change mine to Lumbridge too. Boreas:done
I say that we just get some of the key things at Lumbridge done, then move onto Varrock right after. We should just do goblins and miner, then move onto wcing/mining…etc. at Varrock.

Yeah I also agree with this, so im voting Lumbridge. But if we do lumbridge a tutorial runner would be nice to (Doubt anyone wants to make as its very long and hard to test) If you think about it a script that never stops.

Lumbridge.
Easy start, fresh from tut or just do home tele.
First thing you gotta do on account is get some combat levels, chickens, goblins, and cows are perfect.
Perfect for beginning WC (endless amount of trees!)
Perfect for mining (Tin and copper mine ftnw? (for the noob win!)
I say Lumbridge is obviously the best spot to make the first msi!

Cons and Pros!
VarrockPros:- Offers more things to do
- Has the GE.
- 2 main mining areas
- Lots of diffirent trees
- Smithing
- Cooking
- Water Filling
- Many ranges of fighting (level wise)
Cons:- Wouldnt really be a fresh out of tutorial island type script, unless you move all your chars to varrock.
- Doesnt offer fishing
- Death walking is further away then lumbridge.
Lumbridge!Pros- Chicken fighting (Feathers)
- Goblin fighting
- Cow fighting (Cow Hides)
- Easy death walk
- Fishing
- Mining
- Many trees to cut
- Spinning
- Good for fresh characters
Cons- Bank is far away from most of lumbridges features
Its a tough choice, it depends on what you really want, If you want this script to run for lower leveled accounts, Lumbridge wins. On the other hand Varrock is more usefull for more higher leveled accounts and skills.
So I might want to change my vote to Varrock.

I think RM was looking for a script that would be good for someone coming straight out of TUT island, and in the case, it would have to be Lumbridge.

@Boreas, i changed my own vote thanks.
@Coh3n, id say if you want a FOB (Fresh of the boat) script, then lunbridge wins hands down, its the ease and proximity of the GE is what makes varrock a bit of a better choice

Yes, but if you think about it, you come off of TUT Island with all the materials you need to get the first 20 levels or so (hatchet, tinderbox, net, bronze weapons, etc.). The difference in bronze and iron weapons doesn't make any difference when you're starting at level 1 anyway. In my opinion, there is no need to have to buy materials from the GE if you are fresh off of TUT Island.

Well first of all, scripts aren't 100% perfect, you break/loose justone object and your screwed. In varrock we can do like If PickLost then BuyAnotherAtTheMotherFuckingGE!
And also, IMO, besides from just getting combat levels, we auto to get better skills, and money. The way we get money is selling crap at the GE. So if you think about it, your EVENTUALLY gonna have to walk your entire army to Varrock anyways to sell your autoed goods, so why not just get it over with FOB and make Varrock your first home? :D

The GE is indeed the main reason for me choosing varrock. Lumbridge would be good, maybe for the first 20-30 levels, but then again, it doesn't take us much time to reach those levels.
For the Death Walk argument, what are you really expecting to die from in varrock? If you're going for the level 1 rats, they really have a though time killing you.
Lumbridge could be better if we intended to use an army and re-made LAME, but nowadays armies aren't really common.

LAME Lumbridge Auto Mage Extraordinaire
Get free runes (30 air 30 mind) from magic tutor. Kill the nearby ducks. Repeat on each player forever. (Along with staff you can cast any elemental strike too (air, water, earth, fire) so its amazing free magic xp

LAME is a very old and very succesful script by Tarajunky.
Run it on 8 chars, they would go to the magic tutor in lumby, grab the free runes, cast spells on the ducks and then log out. The next one would come in and do the exact same thing. By the time they all did it, more than half an hour would've passed and therefore you could ask for free runes again. 24/7 free magic XP.
But as i said, armies aren't really used anymore.
