SRL Archive - Misc. Links and Programs

I want to install this new program, but I'm not sure at all if it can be trusted or not, can someone confirm whether it is or isn't? If it's not, where can I find a trusted program to record sound that your computer plays. Hypercam doesn't seem to be recording sound even when I have the box checked off for some reason. Thanks for anyone who can help.

EDIT: Help please, trying to record with it, it keeps tell me "Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate."

Update your drivers.

Is this used to record sounds my computer makes? Like can I record itunes, youtube, .mp3, .wav files? or is this for microphones? or both…?

You can record the sounds from videos, such as YouTube, and yes you can also record from a microphone.

Audacity, almost made me commit suicide.
We had a school project with it, and believe me that was the last project they used that piece of "software".

Meh, doesn't matter, I got sound recording working again on HyperCam2, I just needed to right click sound icon, click recording devices, right click in empty area, show disabled devices, and enable stereo mix, and now HyperCam2 records sound again. If anyone gets the problem of sound not being recorded on HyperCam2 outta nowhere when it used to, try that. As I have fixed my problem I no longer need this thread.
