It's personal preference whether you report someone or not. If you're autoing with a level 3 character, chances are you don't need to be reported, as I'm sure Jagex watches the level 3's closely, and you'll get banned soon enough anyway.

Finally someone I agree with. BUT you know how people are reporting higher levels? That's pathetic, not really an opinion..It's a fact. It's like let's say your teacher does cocaine during lunch and another teacher does cocaine during lunch and one of the teachers tell the staff that one of the teachers does cocaine during lunch. THAT'S pathetic too.

Why are you saying level 3's? Look at people autoing on level 20's, 50's , 132's. people are reporting them. This makes me feel like leaving the forums TBH. I'm just getting back to botting and I figure out these forums are filled with some people TRYING to get other bots banned.. I don't see how it works out. It doesn't. Really.

i figure if you use an obvious bot you deserve to get banned, not saying I report people because to be honest im way to lazy to, but I mean if I see someone obviously botting is saddens me. Thats why I try to stick to un-used/private scripts.

I wouldnt say pathetic, but i do find it very hypocritical. now if the person is like a level 3 then i dont really care much. but if someone from srl reported a lvl 60 + for botlike activity then thats pretty mean. I mean im sure we have all had the time where we used a crappy bot, not knowing how bad it was. I have many times before while testing my own scripts had them do some very botlike things. I would just use the golden rule, do what you would want done for you
Edit: though if it is a bot that it looks like the person put no effort into making, then i would say report away :P

For the community? I rarely go on Runescape, and when I do, it's either to test something, or to train an account to sell. I mainly stay here for the community, also.

ALL of my 10 accounts are level 3 and I bot with them all the time. Haven't been banned and i've had them for over 4 months.
I have no intention to get their levels up to 40 because if they DO get banned it will be a waste + there will be no benifit to me if I get them to 40+ combat.

I do not see any point in getting my combat up, there is no point and is a waste of time. None of my accounts are fighters I have 5 miners and 5 woodcutters, so instead of me getting my combat up I will get the skill up that is actually worth it, not some useless skill.
You say that getting my combat up wont get me banned? Well that wont help, my level 78 got banned, and my level 3's arn't. As a matter of fact, NONE of my 10 accounts are banned.
Please rep me again, I had 2 balls of rep and you took away 10 to say "We try to mimic legitimate players, face it, you are just LAZY !!!!!". You could of just written this in the post, and not derep me so I am kindly asking for you to give me that 10 rep back.
I am not lazy, It's just it wont bring me ANY benifit to gain combat levels. Why would I do that when I can actually auto my woodcutting and get something that counts. What if I spend a bunch of time botting to level 40 and I get banned?
It would be MUCH more easier to just bot a skill that I actually need. Oh and as I stated, please return the rep.

There are a number of differences between regular botting and SRL-botting.
No Money
No money @ SRL. SRL is the only 100% totally free environment. No money implies a number of things: scamming and generaly other money-greedy 14 old practices are firmly kept out. Also the few known professional scammers have no interest in us, since there is nothing to scam. We dont play that game. This makes SRL a very cool community since it atracts only the true Artists among cheating. Those who think beyond the petty pixelgreed and practice the Art of Programming for pure challenge. Money is something you make in real life, not here. There are only a handfull known cheaters that can temporarily make a living out of it, so act wise.
Respect
Another important difference is respect. We at SRL have -and always will- respect Jagex. Comfortably enough we are also the only surviving bot that does not infringe any copyrights. We play "against the rules", and thats about it. Also, and this is important, this respect is reflected in the way we bot. Our bots are thieves, bots in disguise. This approach naturally flows from the abovementioned: our challenge is to stay cloaked, to blend in and act natural. We respect the game, as the game respects us. We are the Masterthieves, capisce?
Legacy
SCAR is the oldest bot around. We picked it up after Kaitnieks left, rebuild it, kept its legacy alive and steered it safely through rough Runescape tides. SRL became the motor of SCAR and we have achieved many many sweet victories. Both during the Aryan and the rsdemon massacre not one SRL thief was ever banned. Ever. And still in the age of reflection, SCAR/SRL remains an interesting alternative. SRL keeps the legendary Kaitnieks legacy alive. We still even share the same look.
Philosophy
SRL was the first to introduce the Army, sequential round the clock botting. This is now common good around the cheating globe. Also we where the first to introduce true autoresponding. This has been kept private throughout the years for obvious reasons (I do have a convo somewhere between two SRL-bots…brrr) but is now widespread amongst our friendly neighbours.
Also we where the first to unravel the mistery behind Jagex's banning mechanisms. We where the first to discover how to auto without getting banned.
Technical
Do you have any idea how SCAR works? or what complicated highlevel functionality it offers based on a simple pixelreadout from the runescape screen compared to the -illegal- method of decoding incoming Jagex data? (Which is of course a great achievement in itself. No bad words about our colleagues here)
Understand what we offer from simple pixelreadout: OCR, Object Recognition, Deformed Bitmap Comparison, Dynamic DTM and a gigantic(!) library of useful functions. And because it is such a huge work to maintain such a huge library, we are more proud of it. Thus we are also more prood on our beloved thieves because all we had to steer them on where pixels and timers. It is a dangerous world out there for us.
Community
At SRL we work together. We have a common goal. Our community is very open to anyone willing to participate, and is very rewarding towards anyone willing to participate. SRL is good for both your psychological and your runescape skills, so to say.
It took SRL almost three years to come this far. 50 Developers and thousands enthousiastic programmers have contributed to what SRL is and always will be, the coolest cheating place on earth.
Auto wisely. And in direct answer to the question why we report stupid ignorant good for nothing bots: Here is the answer (flash video). That is an insult to the Guild. Thats why these kind of bots do not deserve their place.
All others more than welcome :)
