Well, my phone contract is comming to an end this month, 17 days :S
I need help choosing a phone.

If I go with an iPhone, it will be unlocked and jailbroken inorder to go with TMobile. At&t is crap in my area, and is super expensive :X
I have heard great things about the iPhone, such as easy tethering and user simplisity ect.

(I may get an unlocked Pro 2, depends on the conract cost..)
The HTC Touch Pro 2 looks better than sex imo…
It has a full slide out qwerty keyboard, and screen slightly larger than the iPhone's. It uses Windows Mobile 6.1, and has a free upgrade to 6.5 when it comes out in October. tbh I'm leaning towards this phone because I really would like a real keyboard, not a virtual one. The pro also uses either your finger or a stylus for the touch screen.

I really need SRL's help on this. Google is giving me very biased answers, and I know the members of SRL have analytical minds, and thats what sees throught the lies.

I'm looking at these two phones. I dont really trust another screen only phone, besides the iphone.

HTC. There is a thing with me and iphones…

Android over Windows Mobile thingymagiffy any day.

Iphone, they are nice.

Like I know the iPhone has tethering, which is a nessicity, but idk if the HTC has it.

IMO, Windows Mobile kinda sucks.

iPhone is great, although I agree about the lack of a physical keyboard. Still, if you can get used to it, it's a great phone, even without the hype.

I would go with an HTC Phone with Android, if possible. HTC phones just seem more unique, and Android is going to get big.

I say: screw smartphones. Save over 9000 dollars and get a simple but advanced phone, such as the older Razr v3m.

I really need your views on this. This is a big commitment.

I would get the Hero, if you have the money. Tethering, im fairly certain has nothing really to do with your specific phone, just your SIM card I believe, im not exactly sure on the details, all I know is if I had a tethering data plan I could use it with my SIM card, it didnt matter what phone it was in. The Touch Pro 2 is also quite nice, but I think the Hero wins because of Android. Also another good choice is the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, however I have heard about faulty screens, which is covered under the warranty.

Your saying iPhone sucks because they rejected an App, thats the most biggest load of crap ive ever heard.

iPhone is just a great phone, i personally want one xD.

Reasons why:
- Looks sweet
- Apps are hecktic
- Nice wide 100% touch phone
- Has many nice features
- Jail breaking just adds more fun to the phone.
- Properly the most best set out way to listen to music.
- Basically the best MP3 player with calling capabilities, what more can you want.

Reasons why not:
- Apparently it breaks easily some say.

Here are my suggestions:

HTC Hero - Android-based
Nokia N900 - Maemo-based
Samsung Galaxy (i7500) - Android-based

I have a jailbroken iphone 3g and the apps are sweet as. You can do basically anything, its almost worth getting an iphone just for the app community because its so big an active.

Thanks The Claw. Thats the first real reason I've gotten.

I've been looking at the HTC Hero, myTouch, and G1, and they all look like good phones.
Any one have any info on those?
