As you are reading right now, you probably noticed quite a few changes to the forums. All of these are to prepare on the launch for the SRL Black Market, which will, after months of preparation, finally open this weekend for SRL Members+!

In the next hour, you will probably see the empty forums popping up one by one as we're getting permissions for the forums ready.

We're also ready to announce the following Black Market Moderators:

• Markus
• _ChArMz
• Torrent of Flame

Together, these three will be at your disposal for any questions about the black market. They have moderating powers in the market, so please behave or you'll get punished. To make things easy, they're also Middleman.

One note: we also already made a list of people who will be banned from the Market. This list (for now), includes the following persons:

• NiiX
• The Man
• Scaper (for now, will be resolved soon)
• Ashur2good
• And anyone else, we're doing a background check on all SRL Members as we're speaking.
If you got something to confess however, we'll take that into account. Really, if you know me you know I'm not talking shit. If you don't, ask anyone who does.

Please note we'll have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on ANY kind of scamming. Permanent ban, no discussion possible.

Things that can be traded on the market

• Gold
• Accounts
• Services

Things that can NOT be traded on the market:

• Guides
• Scripts
• RL stuff (Like Xboxes and such)
• Anything else that isn't on the list of allowed stuff

I am pretty sure it will, 3 moderators for a giant black market isn't actually a lot :p

well, it was more like spam than anything else really. And imo spam is breaking the rules (plus, as the market is SRL Members+ it's completely unnecessary to spam in General news about it)

Honestly…If my two threads were considered spam, then you might as well delete all of the threads on this forum…I was congratulating ToF, which is what the Celebrations section is for, in one thread. In the other, I was asking whether the Black Market was coming out soon, as I'd seen ToF's status. How are they considered spam? I'm not trying to flame, but I just can't see how they can be conceived as spam…

well, that would be a pain to do tbh, I need to select ~65.5k threads and then press the delete button. Will take me at least a day to do.

And as I said before and as Blumblebee repeated, there's nothing to congratulate as long as the market isn't open yet, especially not in public. I don't want an army of junior members crying about a black market they don't have access to or whatever.

IMO, you need more American mini-mods.
Markus and ToF are both European, and , _ChArMz is Australian. Hence, some crazy stuff could go down later in the day by Americans, and you guys would all be in a deep sleep. :3

IMO, you need more American mini-mods.
Markus, _ChArMz, and ToF are all European, I think. Hence, some crazy stuff could go down at 11 PM EST, and you guys would all be in a deep sleep.

Well, I live in the Netherlands, charmz in australia (other side of the world) and Torrent of Flame in the UK (yes that's europe but ok).
And we might add someone, as soon as we find someone experienced who we can trust :)

I searched him and couldn't even find any threads started by him, then got sidetracked by an old thread of squigglyo's but anyway, yea I'm still looking to find _ChArMz… I don't remember if I've ever seen him, seeing if his avvy or any posts reminds me of this person.

EDIT: went to one of the first threads and saw his post in it, I remember seeing some posts of his now, the orange name (developer) reminded me of him, I don't ever really remember seeing him around since I've joined though, probably because he doesn't post as often as other people. But he was on today according to his profile.

Well, script sales are against SRL's philosophy and, I'll just be honest, I don't like them that much myself. They cause tons of trouble as they all get cracked no matter what you do.
And we saw what happened with The Man, guides are also always being plagiarized. It's not that fair if person X buys a guide at Person Y, then X starts selling/leaking the guide for a lower price. Nothing but trouble.

That would be something good to include in the guide (if someone writes it). For people like me, who know absolutely nothing about PayPal, and would just end up screwing themself over one way or another. :o

Oh k, well i opend a checking acount at my bank so i could use it to open a pay pal acount, (i wanted to put money from my bank onto paypal) and it just confused me xD i understand how to sign up and all but for someone writing a tutorial they should explain how to add a bank and how to put money from pay pal into your bank or from the bank into pay pal.

or we choose who can be accepted and not accepted….
like whoever the mod of black market is can choose and accept people who have been behaving/contributing and shiz can access the blackmarket….
or if the mod is really lazy we can have a requirement of 200 or w/e posts in order to see the black market…

lower chance of scammers that way, and i doubt a quick scammer wants to post 200 times in order to see 3-4 more categories…

But markus is right. Doing a check on all srl members was already enough of the pain, no way we'll be thinking "has this junior member made enough good posts?" if he has, he probably should be member anyway.

If guides are not allowed, what about trading methods?. Just gonna have to share for free?

Hopefully these new updates to RS won't delay the Black Market release, however, considering that all active staff also develops, it might happen.

If it is to the point where the sharing of both Developer user-base and Staff user-base are the SAME group, it becomes too much for one group to manage. The distinction between is lost and it becomes hard to focus on one or the other.

I do believe that we need more staff/developers that are one or the other. Not both. As much as this may be useful in general times, when it comes down to a pinch like at this point, something needs to change.

No official applications, invite only most likely but we'll keep our eyes out.

And gold selling guides: gold transferring services/gold selling services are allowed, but guides we're still not too sure about, just keep the methods for yourself for now or make some money by transferring using them ;)
