He honestly is like the friend in your group that always gets away with the stupid shit and you just get sick and tired of it and end up leaving that group of friends.

So with that said, while he is still around here, I will not be. I am tired of him getting to go in and out of the rules like they don't apply to him. He honestly pushes buttons to see how far he can get and if he doesn't get banned by it, he marks it off as a 'win' for him, it's like a damn game to him.

I am fed-up with coming to the forums and seeing the bullshit that he has done and that he once again has gotten away with it. I just don't want to associate myself with him anymore because he simple is just too childish/immature and gets away with way to much shit.

And it is not just an easy 'ignore him' then if you don't like him because that is easier said than done. I honestly just don't need to be around/associate with this kid anymore and am tired of seeing his crap.

Someone can MSN me/Email me when this kid has finally pushed the admins overboard and got himself banned. But until then I will be gone and if that never happens then this might be my last post. (or at least my last post until he gets more mature)

If I were to go inactive because some people on the forums were acting immature/childish or just generally stupid, I would have already left the day the forum was founded.

Why do you continue to put up with him? I just can't fathom how you could tolerate him after these same things happen over and over.

For the same reason I put up with a lot of other kids. :)

The reason you put up with other kids who…spam, troll, post malicious code, steal scripts for members (was this him or am I thinking of someone else?), among other things?

EDIT: After looking through some of his topics, maybe that wasn't him. I think it was him that abused the stats system in the past, though.

That reason is what I was looking for, what is it?

About Stats abuse; that was a long time ago, and in my opinion, not that bad.
It was generally Dankness' mistake for not checking whatever was committed. Harry was just experimenting, and reported it once he found a flaw.

The reason I put up with kids is because the average user here is a kid, and the only way to "raise" them properly is by teaching them what's right and wrong on the internet. I see it as a duty of this forum to raise these kids who are openly exposed to the internet in the best way we can.

Banning users like Harry just doesn't really make sense in my eyes.
I've thought this over many times, and I don't believe he should be banned.

I can probably add more to my reason later if you like; but I am really tired now.

The reason you mentioned in your first response to my post.

"For the same reason I put up with a lot of other kids."

EDIT: Looks like you replied above. My only question is, if the goal is trying to "raise" the users properly, is Harry really a good influence to have in the community?

I tolerate him but I think he has done quite a few things that would merit quite a bit more punishment then he's gotten.

Get rid of him, even his avatar is racist. Like common, I know he is stuck at members, but he is such a pain in the sides of so many people, is it really worth while to have him here?

Does he REALLY contribute? Or does he consistently find himself on the wrong side of arguments.

I'd like to see him in SSRL some day. Just saying. Everyone was immature at some stage, some more than others, but he is improving, and is still an intelligent member who contributes.

All he contributes is stupid child porn debates…

IMO, yes. Harry isn't that childish, and most people "don't want to be like Harry", so he also serves as some sort of figure people don't want to become, I guess.

The majority of this forum is kids, and every mid acts differently. For example, I believe Harry and JAD are very similar ages? To be honest, you really wouldn't expect that. And another example, cycrosism and Cazax. Some just feel they can get away with being immature, while others realise that they can get further by abiding rules and generally being more mature.

Harry has broken enough rules to receive a long term ban (IMO).

I don't see harry being a jerk on the forums?
Might be childish, but not to the point where he deserves a ban.

You can always ignore someone..

So it takes suicide for Harry to get serious?

Imo he's a good guy, this just proves that, I wouldn't just cast him away without giving it a second thought…

Several times actually. :)

and upon being banned the first time, what did he do? Try to blackmail you (badly), started twisting your words to try and turn people against you and lastly proved that he had way to much of an ego by that point for his own good.

I'm sure if you just look back at everything, he deserves and should be perm banned. If not that, then you mentioned having him as a deterrent - does he need to be a member to be this? Maybe a demotion if he starts acting fishy again.

Oh and speaking of plan Barry, has Harry still got his second account active (mudkips or something like that, was it not?).

How could you not expect anyone too? He had the means. It's the only time I've ever seen him be serious.

The Claw

Its easy to say that after the situations happened, it took good judgement to determine if it was a troll or not, and to know how to handle the situation in general.

How many people would go called the emergency number cos someone on the other side of the country was rumoured to be commiting suicide?

I'm debating whether or not to answer this because it's hard to tell if you're being serious or sarcastic.

I like Harry, don't ban him.
If you don't like his attitude on MSN, block&delete him. If you don't like him on IRC, ban him from there. But don't ban him from SRL? As far as I can see, he hasn't posted anything bad here for quite a long time.

I don't really talk to him at all, but I like his presence here.
