Because it will get the most attention in here from the people who are making the threads, IceFire, and will hopefully stop any more in the future.

While I agree that IRC stuff should stay on IRC I am very disappointed in the maturity levels that have been coming up in IRC. While I too fool around sometimes on IRC it seems some people go the next step and many times to far on IRC. For the most part your maturity and helpfulness should reflect the forums - that's the main reason IRC was made in the first place to help.

I agree that immature behaviour is on the increase on the IRC, but for the most part the forums remain of a respectable standard of maturity. If we allow threads about the IRC to appear on the forums, the immature people from the IRC leak onto the forums, bringing the maturity level down on the forums.

No. If I have a problem with what is happening on the IRC, I will complain about it here, as this is usually the only place where I (or anyone else) can at that point, and it generally gets more long-term attention.

If you do not like those threads, ignore them.

If the ops weren't power crazy people who can't get off there high horse there would be no threads.

I think ToF had a great idea there, just have a seperate channel for complaints instead of bringing them to the forums. Only problem is, if no ops were in there, it wouldn't work.

Making a room for everyone to just flame one another about being banned is not a good room.

It would just be better for the ops to only ban when they need to.

They should remove that as I have said. It just causes problems. If someone was doing something wrong, then they deserve to be banned. If they did something wrong, they would understand why they were banned, and will accept it.

Err.. Near all the people on IRC come from the forums. I don't see how you can say that people on the IRC leak onto the forums anyway - regardless of whether or not IRC specific threads are made, peoples maturity is affected the same. To me this is just you not wanting to read them and there is a very easy way to get around this - don't read them. People have a right to complain where ever they like and as the IRC and forums are linked by the people involved, I see no reason why not. I mean, SRL <> RS, yet we have a forum for people to talk about their banned accounts on RS!

I would say that… About 75% of the people, who are (active) members of the forum too, are like from different a world around the channel, seriously.

Well, everyone now and then people drop in only to attack other people, but that doesn't happen too often, as I just ban them quickly.
In my opinion you haven't been in IRC enough to shape a good and clear picture.

To be honest, if I see at IRC how people actually are, I actually want to leave SRL. Don't tell me that's you and you are a cry baby, it's just so stupid at IRC it's only about nonsense, and I don't care if they do.
When I want some help they just say Ubuntu, GTFO.
If you call that Help….; You must understand that changing OS is not always possible, and that if I need help and I am sure you can fix it. Don't tell me to STFU and go ubuntu.
There are people that need Windows because of their work etc.
I only go to #srl for SRL related stuff since, there is no SRL/Programmaing Related stuff and only kids. I have nothing to do there, I like talking to Wizzup and Laurens once in a While and Boreas and some Others.
Who can do mature. I don't say I am "The Matureness" itself, but just…
Trolling around = fun.
Making fun is a good thing to do.

Well sorry, but you generally need to rtfm, and if you don't, people will logically tell you to "stfu". Some do it in a more polite manner, some just tell you what's on their heart.
I just generally tell people in a more polite manner to read the friendly manual.

I think nearly everyone here agrees with me that you sometimes really ask stupid (or extremely obvious) questions, and in that case you can expect a less polite answer. :)

I agree in some sense, but theres always someone who will help. Immaturity looms around #srl, but that really is only a select few (that are like that all the time), and some just do it at certain moments. I've found that almost everytime I've asked a question I've received atleast an attempt at helping.
