srl forums have for some time been aware that although our membership list is growing at a steady pace, up to 60% of registered accounts are either no longer in use, or never were.
this can be witnessed on the member list to be found here

We have finally got around to commencing a cleanup program for the sites members.

I pretty much guarantee at least one person will actually fall for this. The poster had to come on here and ask if it was legit - they weren't sure. It's kind of mind boggling how effective these attempts are no matter how obvious/amateurish they are.

Maybe add to the announcement that the only address that emails will come from is [email]Wizzup.SRL@gmail.com[/email] or whatever it is :p

They are not smart enough to edit simple headers though, as they do not even do proper grammar in the email :p

I thought for half a second it was real, the big give away was the server @gmail.com. I wasn't paying attention to grammar, but I got one also. I was suspicous right away, thought it was fake as soon as I saw it ask for password. Dumb phisher

I think so. I was the only person on the one that was sent to me.

the @gmail.com should be a huge giveaway.

lol the email wasn't for admins to get your password, it was for them to see if you are active, which gives the phisher the password. But the email had nothing to do with admins wanting pass's, the email never says, I'm an admin so give me your pass, the password is a part of the form of seeing if your active, but admin's wouldn't use emails to see if people are active either. That wouldn't make sense, I rarely check my email, I'm on here more often than my email.

EDIT: mikevskater made me realize, I'm 10 posts from 1k :D
