NxTitle

NxTitle is a brilliant mind, useful in so many aspects. He is mature, and active.

He is a Jr Member, but only because he doesn't feel that Member scripts are worth it.

I am proposing a big change, Jr -> SSRL, but I believe it is fitting.

NxTitle is JM?! shit, i always thought he was member.

I say let's not jump ranks too fast. I'm for SRL Members, and then we'll see.

edit: Obviously any SSRL votes will also count positively as SRL Member in case there are many "none" votes.

You proved my point though, you assumed he was a member. That was why I thought the full bump was reasonable.

Never really talked to this guy but really? JM to SSRL?

JAD

Is this a serious poll?

Every person who has been polled for SSRL so far I feel like I know. NxTitle I don't remember like at all. I've seen the name before, but that's about it.

I am 100% not voting for SSRL, but I guess I'll look at what he's done to see it it's SRL members worthy.

What could possibly make this guy worthy of SSRL though (Other than maturity, good decision making….etc. etc. etc. that a lot of SRL members have)?

I wonder what makes someone SSRL worthy?

Well I don't know. Some people still like to quote my list, so I guess we can start there:

  • A good attitude/nice personality.
  • Help the community whenever they can.
  • Great scripting abilities.
  • Some good tutorials (Just a bonus).
  • Some longtivity to make sure they know a lot about the forums.
  • Good activity in this forums
  • A pretty good post count. I know post count isn't important, but that's how people get to know you and that's how you help people of this community.
  • Have at least 1 cup.
  • Be liked, or at least not hated by a lot of people from this community.
  • Help people 1 on 1 over msn, and help newer people fix there scripts.

Granted, it is over 2 years and 3 months old.

1) He's not really active/hasn't been here long enough for me personally to have seen his attitude.

2) Haven't seen much helpfulness

3) Haven't seen great scripting abilities.

4) No

5) Wasn't active for a lot of his time here, so no not really.

6) No

7) No

8) No

9) Probably

10) I don't know.

If we go by my opinion back then, then he doesn't have at least 7 out of 10 of these things, so he wouldn't get in.

Jr. members to SSRL I really don't think so. If we make him an SRL member, he becomes active for a while and does some stuff (scripting, helping people…etc.), then I might then give him a yes.

Ahh I missed, can someone change my vote from SSRL -> none please? (Big miss, I know ) Done.-Boreas

If, as you said Nava2, he doesn't really care about being an SRL member, then why should he be given it for no work at all just because he's smart and nice?

Come on IRC, he's there a lot. A bright mind, good programmer.

I agree SSRL may be too much, but Member at least. Hoping that it would be motivation for him - I would think that if he did script, then it would be amazing, but as he doesn't seem overly interested RS, of course making a script to get into Members wouldn't make sense to him if he holds the opinion that all Members is is another place with scripts. I don't think this should limit him though.

If anyone should have gone straight from JM to SSRL, it would have been senrath. But he didn't, and I think NxTitle (though he is pretty noticeable) should go through the ranks like everyone else.

Has he done anything at all SRL-related recently? I know he's an excellent programmer and has a good attitude and everything (and likes the same music I do, he's spotted me on a different irc server :D) but I haven't seen anything involving Runescape from him.

I think he was trying to show the programs on the site, not necessarily the site itself.

EDIT: Just editing to avoid posting something useless.. Hobbit, I was primarily responding to the "Yay? He has a website?" part.

Well, relating to lack of RuneScape stuffs, I believe he started making a python library full of autoing related tasks - I am pretty sure that was him, but unsure as to how far it got.
Edit: Oh, asked him about it and apparently he gave up on it quite quickly, but he had clicking!

This is Senior SRL though, not Senior Python. If he doesn't have any interest really in writing scripts using SRL/SCAR then I see no reason he should be in here. I honestly don't see any reason giving him SRL Members, if he has no interest.

I, as well as many other SSRL members, do not, and did not when accepted into SSRL, have any interest in scripting, including myself.

He is quite interested in SRL, but not directly in common scripts that people write.
I believe he hosts quite some sites for SRL users, and is in the SRL IRC for 8 hours every day.

How exactly is he interested in SRL then? Creating tools? Developing the include?

R0b0t1

Developing the include = making scripts, so no. He appears to be interested in general programming.

<NxTitle> I had that script I had made a while ago that's in the Junior Member section
<NxTitle> the Al Kharid Silverminer
<Widget> hm, ok
<NxTitle> however it'sk kinda dead
<NxTitle> and it worked fine for me but it didn't use any of the advanced SRL techniques

He seems active in the community - not neccessarily the forums though - and from speaking to him on IRC he seems quite mature and intelligent. I'm a yes for accepting him into SSRL but not immediately, perhaps give him members and see how he goes there - to see if he's trusted, if the rank goes to his head, etc.

tarajunky

We've automemberized others without any SRL experience or contribution. But generally they have made a large contribution to the RS cheating scene, even if they haven't used SRL or been involved in it.

Members is fine, but unless/until he starts using or developing the resources we use here, I don't know why we would advance him any further than that.

R0b0t1

2009-09-01 00:39:23

GOD DAMN IT IT IS NOT A SCENE. a

Method

2009-09-01 01:02:48

Sure it is. Here's a quote from an online dictionary:

"an area or sphere of activity, current interest, etc.: the rock music scene; the fashion scene."

And if you like Wikipedia:

"A social environment consisting of a large informal, vague group of people with a uniting interest; their sphere of activity."
