Forum Activity Projects: SRL Taxi Service

For some Background information on this, please read " Forum Activity " .

This would be based on my Army Relocater (can be found in SRL Member Scripts)

A bot would stand around, advertising it's service, SRL and the forums, until someone requested it's services. We can make people pay for the ride if we so wish. Then the bot would just simply walk them around.

What do you think of this?

Current Locations: (all inter-walkable)
  • VEB
  • VWB
  • Lumby
  • Draynor Bank
  • Falador

What do you think? Ups, Downs? More locations?

Don't make people pay for it. We'd probably need lots of bots walking at the same time for this to work though.

no. Back in the day jagex didn't do that much against bots, until legits knew they were there (obvious lvl 3s overcrowding yews etc). Even if the legits don't know it's a bot in game and only find out once they visit the site, they still find out, and that will lead to unwanted attention. Believe it or not some people actually like clicking for hours, and hate bots based on principle, and will be very upset when they get here (that's if they get here, because i assume that villavu/srl would be censored at some point). Advertising in game can only bring trouble. Advertise only to those that have already decided to break rs rules.

I agree with Boreas. Getting more activity is one thing, placing a target on us that says "JAGEX COME LOOK AT ME" is a completely different thing. I think it would have more negative effects than positive.

Good initiative though…

Then increase Villavu's Google rank.

I wanted to break the RS rules long before I finally found this place January 31, 2007. I had to find it through 5 other websites, after trying all the extremely outdated scripts (I didn't know any better).

Example:
http://www.rs101.info/scripts/

Although this is the second to the top when searching SCAR scripts, the site people really want to find is villavu.com

Agreed. As long as it focuses more on 'cheat'/'bot'/'SCAR'/'macro'/etc rather than 'runescape'/'jagex' or anything trademarked.

Yeah. I would be interested to see how many more page hits villavu would get with a good page description and keywords list.

This is what it is now:

<meta name="keywords" content="vbulletin,jelsoft,forum,bbs,discussion,bulletin board,srl,runescape,rs,cheating,macro,bot" />
<meta name="description" content="A page of SRL Forums." />

What about:

<meta name="keywords" content="SRL, SCAR, forum, autofighter, Cheat, bots, Hacks, Cheats, SRL, autoclicker, runescape, auto, Cheat, macro, rs, SCAR, macro, autominer, auto woodcutter,bot, working, scripts, autominer, runescape, villavu, SRL, include, working, SCAR, kaitnieks, autos, bots, autofigher, autoclicker" />
<meta name="description" content="Find great working SCAR scripts to auto and bot in Runescape. Undetectable macros is what we are all about, and have tons of working hacks to make you millions of gp in Runescape autoing." />

I think that it does have to have runescape in it, because people aren't just going to search "autos, bots, macros" without specifying the game they want them for.

The description could probably be better, and there may be a few more key words to put in the tags. But that would be much better than what we have right now I think. I know that we really don't "hack" anything, but some noobs (like I was when searching) consider autoing hacking something.

You'd probably want to add specific auto's such as "autoclicker, autoalcher, autofighter", etc.

Though, this Taxi Service sounds like it won't work very great, people who hate auto advertisers/macroers will find a way to ruin it (report then request services until muted/banned?)

Honestly if I was a complete newb looking for RS macros, making SRL appear as "hacking" site would just make me want to go in the opposite direction especially since all those RS "hacking" sites out there usually scam people and make themselves look like idiots.

5 bucks for someone who moves my entire army to mudskipper point ice giants (50 chars lol).

But I hate the idea of advertising in public in RS. Even RSBot doesn't do that! Only scam-china bots do :(
+ what Boreas says.

SRL - The best place for working, updated, undetectable runescape macros/autos/scripts.
